    Might be more helpful if the title was clearer, I personally took it as a free upgrade regardless, hence the wasted click thru (for me), however it may prove to be a cheap purchase of vista - again i don't know the rrp of vista.

    And you wasted all of what? 10 seconds? :) You should know better than MS giving the users something free..

    Which takes me to the second point I would like to make.. I read somewhere that this "free" upgrade cost in the region of £50 once you pay for postage and packaging.. So not really free after all.. But I might be wrong.

    The upgrade from Home is not free, it's costs $50 or so.

    The upgrade from Pro IS FREE ! +handling, etc...
