  • Hi everyone.
Hope you're all ok. Just reporting in as I realise I haven't written here for a while.

On the plus side, I've been quite busy as I've had two weeks of supply work in two different schools:j, which I loved, and my little car is still running. My lovely Dad put a full tank of petrol in it for me:A, so I'm very lucky.

On the down side I haven't had as much time to send as many applications, but am back on it now. I have also had three rejection letters:(, I know it's to be expected but I'm still gutted when they come through, but never mind, I'm just going to have to let them, wash over me and keep applying.

It's been been very windy this week hasn' t it? Hope you're all well

  • Hello everyone,
Hope you're well. The suuply has dwindled again, so have been busy applying for jobs. Three more rejections:(. One school said I could ringfor feedback which I did so I don't make the same mistakes on other applications. Thankfully feedback was good- but still didn't get shortlisted. Loads of people applying.

Had a bit of a disaster yesterday - but as one of my friends pointed out it's not really surprising as these things always seem to happen to me:o! Someone from freecycle offered me a tv, as I don't have one and thought It would be really good for my bedrom at the moment. Well I found the address ok, but was about 1/2 hour early. Irt had been a really wet day, and there was a car coming behind me on a narrow country road so I pulled over to let them pass. I then went to move over, and my car was literally stuck i the mud:eek:! Yep that's right the one that's just been fixed! I couldn't move it, and could see some steam so I stopped. I then got out and sunk into the mud myself, but eventually got out. I then walked to the house and asked the man if he could poss help - luckily he had a landrovver and rope, and said he could get the tractor if it didn' t work. But eventually he drove it for me and informed me that there's sinking mud around them. At least he got it out:A! Anyway went back with the TV, it is very big and my Dad helped me to lift it up the stairs to find out that it just doesn't work:mad:. So all I have is a very muddy car, trainers and clothes to go in the wash:(!

Sorry for waffling. In otheer news I have saved up £50in the month of January with all my piggy banks, and have just swum 100 lengths!:D

    Hope you're all ok

  • Arrghhh now the only printer in the house is broken!. Was just about to print off a completed application:eek:! Not a good week atm:o!
  • Oh stressed, you poor thing.
I thought I was the only person who managed to have things pile up like that one after the other. What a strange thing to do, give a telly away that doesn't work. I suppose it beats trying to find a way to dump it. Bit naughty.
Now you are stuck with it.
I am in the unemployed club too at the moment. Doing lots of reading and research on t'internet. Not too bored as yet.
    Hugs

  • Hi SA,
I know! Oh well never mind no one died (or drowned in the mud:o! I'll have to take it to the dump now!

I've had enough of writing applications now. I'm almost cross eyed! I only want one of them to give me a job though:). Even the voluntary people don' t want me - I'm not that bad surely:rotfl:?

I'm really sorry you're unemployed again:(. Hopefully something will turn up! Finished applications for today! Hopefully a better week for all next week x

  • Hi Everyone,
Hope you're all well. Have been in Bristol for a couple of days. Had to go there to lolok at school. Was told i was essential. I rang first explaining I was secondary trained -it's a primary School. They said that was fine, until I got there - ggrr:mad:. I live very far away from anywhere so was a waste of time and money:(.

I feel like I have an unpaid job of filling in applications at the moment.

Went swimming today and did 70 lengths. Felt good after until I reaslised I hadn't packed my towel. Doh:rotfl:!

Hoping that one of these days someone will want me to do some work!

  • Have had a mixed few days and am feeling quite down today:(! Have actually found a course that might help me with primary teaching:j. Is like a conversion course but not a conversion course, but is hours away, and only for one day. If I stayed here I would have to leave at 3 in the morning. Was thinking about it, but also relocating closer.

Have had a HUGE row with my Mum. We don't have the best of relations anyway, but is harder when I live with her. A big blow up over nothing, but then the usual she lies to my Dad when he comes back from work about what's happened to make me look bad and I get really angry about that:mad: as hardly any of it's true. I can't wait to leave and at the moment I'd be happy to never see her again at the moment:mad:

Sorry about the rant but had tpo get it off my chest! Hope you're all well

    xx
  • Hi,
I hope you all don't mind me joining in. I hope everyone is well and if you're in teaching are having a good h/t. I've been supply teaching since 2009 when I qualified and signed up to as many agencies as possible and have almost always had constant work...so far I've worked in Secondary Schools teaching all of the curriculum apart from P.E!! I have also worked in SEN and primary schools...really loved both SEN and primary...might look into that in the future.
I've still not secure a permanent job and there are times when things look bleak but I WILL NOT GIVE UP!!!! :D
Sure...I've had snot and tears streaming down my face :o after wasted hours of job app and interviews but I still believe there's something out there for me! Please don't give up.

I've been filling any spare time with college courses/CPD when I can afford to! Looking at what makes me happy aside from teaching has really helped...as well as a bit of yoga which helps me to sleep like a baby.

Ooops post that was meant to be short is now an essay!
    Well happy thursday everyone! :)
