Don't they just seize peoples cars and crush them if you repeat offend or something like that
He drives around in old, not very valuable cars. He loses them when he is caught and goes and spends a couple of hundred on a replacement.Aye I bet he doesn't, hes daft because he could kill someone and ruin their families lives because he refuses to pay a few hundred pound a year. I'm sure he'd change his opinion if someone killed someone from his immediate family.
I don't think he would care to be honest. His family don't like him very much either.
As a neighbourhood, we report him when he is seen driving, but it is not the highest priority of the police and they have to catch him doing it. But he gets fined a couple of hundred pounds, more "pointless" points on his licence and remains at large. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
Just a postscript from me. Although Mike did get lower quotes, in the end he negotiated a much better deal with Bell and decided to stick with them as they know everything there is to be known about the car, which has non-standard features. They actually admitted that his claim hadn't cost them a penny, but as I think someone said, insurance companies often infer that the policy holder might not be careful enough about where he/she takes their car. Actually Mike is quite anal about his car and would never park it in a risky place, but there you go. The one thing we have taken from this is is that you shouldn't accept this unfairness, but pursue it with the company and they may offer you a better deal.0

you have a few more years left of this unfairness tho as you have to declair the non fault accident for 3-5 years depending on the company!
its soo annoying i have just got mine taken off its been 4 years but i didnt realise and once i took it off of the quote on the comparison sites it made around 200 difference and in some cases more!
i think if someone crashes in to me next time i might just take them to small claims court if i can to re-coup the costs on the insurance for the next few years! its totally unfair and not right that we have to pay for someone elses mistake or stupidity!
glad you got a better price tho! im with diamond and they are the same as bell i think!
regardsThanks every1 for making this website what it is, its helped me alot in the past!0
