We bought my wife a Fiesta 1.4 TDCI a few years back and I now regret it, she doesnt enjoy driving it, its very jerky and noisy around town which is the type of driving she does, small cars dont have the refinement to carry off diesel engines. To overtake you really have to screw it. She saves a few quid a week at the pump running a diesel but then it costs more to insure and service, it also cost more to purchase over the petrol version. When the time comes to change it, we will get her a petrol model next time.

I had a Fusion TDCi as a courtesy car a while ago, and it wasa pig compared to my wifes Clio DCi, so i can fully understand why your why doesn't get along with her Fiesta.

The 1.4 TDCI is a horrendous engine - we have 14 MK7 Fiestas at work that have been lumbered with it - I feel sorry for them, I really do :rotfl:
