a san francisco query
i bought a orange san francisco with the intention of trying to debrand, is i feel it's too much gobbledegook to do that
so i gave the phone to hubby instead as he's happy using it as it is, he is on `3` , but i just can get the mms settings to work i've followed the settings manually as i cant get them automatically, but each time a mms gets sent it always says "unable to download please try later"
there was one place i found, and it said it needed 2 apn's but it doesn't say that on `3` can anyone help
ps when i set it up for me, (i'm on giffgaff) i got the mms to work easily

Is it that the handset is set for 2g or 3g only

See my handset has 2g only 3g only or dual mode, that is what I'm asking of the san fransisco you have, my brother has one, but he is not here for me to check on his handset, as you say it works with another sim, then I don't feel it is the handset.0 -
i dont think it's the handset neither i'm pretty sure it's the settings i'm putting in, i just cant figure out why its not working ideally i'd like some using an o-s-f on 3 to confirm the settings for me
did your brother de-brand his0 -

there is nothing there to let me choose to set the 3 mms apn it will only let me choose to set that is when i set the apn to default instead of mms and also there isn't anywhere saying mms protocol there is something that says authentication type
it's starting to irritate me now :rotfl:0 -
