Would it be wrong to buy one from sainsbury and take that one back to argos?

Morally yes. But Argos will be able to sell it on to another punter so wont loose out too much. I would do it.

I rang my 8 closest stores, all big stores and not one of them is either running the offer or planning to. One said they've had lots of calls about it but they dont know anything.

we'll, the one from argos would have the catalogue number stickered to the box. The Sainsbury's one wouldn't.

Just swap the boxes to the one with the argos number/sticker on it.
  • I spotted this thread yesterday. Though I didn't know the original price of a Henry Hoover. I hear they're great for tough muck, and was thinking it could be a good buy for my house renovation (which is literally a building site!)

Does anyone think it's worth it, or maybe I should just try and get a second hand hoover as it will be tougher than regular dirt. Silly question I know, but I'm tempted to buy the Henry (if he's discounted at my store of course!) :o

:( just bought one from Argos costing £80 including 10 bags - if I hadn't used it the day I bought it I would take it back and buy at Sainsburys - ah well you win some you lose some!

The devil in me thinks a purchase at Sainsburys then take the Sainsburys one back to Argos! :money:

Of course I could never condone such actions!:A

Henry's are pretty tough but I think for house renovations you would be better with an industrial hoover henry does have an industrial model but its expensive. My dh bought one from wickes, nothing fancy its just a bucket with a sucker attached, no bag and it works with wet and dry, its quite powerful and cheap http://www.wickes.co.uk/Wet-n-Dry-Vacuum-Cleaner/invt/505031

I looked at Sainsbury Instore Offers here (scroll down for electricals) and Henry is not shown, so maybe this was a 'one-off' and is not available nationwide?

    Great deal on household electricals
