Sim only...credit limit?

I would like to get my step-daughter a sim only deal with Virgin mobile, the rest of the family use them and we have always found them to be a good deal for us. However, although my son will always check his minutes and texts on a regular basis to ensure that he does not go over his allowance (upon threat of death!) I know that my SD will not be quite so careful, like most teenage girls, she can text and talk for hours on end. As I do not live with her, it will be hard to check her usage and I don't want to end up with a huge bill that I cannot afford to pay. Does anyone know if Virgin will allow me to set a miniscule credit limit on her account AND if so, will they stick to it? Thanks.

T-Mobile do SIM only "fixed" price plans which would do what you like.
There's also Giffgaff that is PAYG but with bundles and are pretty good value.

Both can be set up with unlimited text, with both T-Mobile and Giffgaff not setting the fair use at the usual 3000 texts.

Isn't that reason why these type of things aren't offered to under 18s.

Thanks for all replies, hadn't heard of GiffGaff before, the website is offering some good deals so will have a look at that. :)

His package is 200 mins and unlimited texts plus unlimited virgin to virgin calls he's on this package as he usually texts rather than calls anyone.
BUT their unlimited text is actually 3000!!!

I have my ids on a £10/month monthly sim only Virgin deal and I reduced the credit limit from £50 to £20 on both. Also, you yourself can check the status online and remind her if usage is going OTT
