Just a question, how many people do you see usually queuing? I'm usually busy so don't get to head to the store (or asleep from waiting up in hope of it appearing online and actually WORKING) so i don't get to the store on the start date till around lunch. this year i am going to be there as I'm walking distance from the store
Any more tips on when to get there etc?

Haven't done any sale shopping this year as i was being good and paying off debts....now i've got money to spend though

If Martin announces it on TV, as he did last year, there will probably be zillions! But if he doesn't, then there'll only be a few, depending on the size of your branch.

There is another 75% off thread on grabbit, some are reporting on there that the staff dont know until the day before, some are reporting that SA telling them they dont think there will be one as 50% doing well, although I think this varies from store to store - I was in Boots, The Mall, Cribbs Causeway last weekend and there was masses and masses of stuff left.

However it is all rumour, so none of us know yet or if anyone does they are keeping quiet!

I was in over a dozen branches in London today and every single one of them had loads and loads of Ferne Cotton hat boxes, the gold Gok sets and Strictly Come Dancing. :(:(

I asked if they had any more stuff in stock, ready to bring out for the 75% sale, and they all looked at me like I was mad! :eek::eek: If I lived in an area, where my local branch had loads of stuff, like some people are saying, then I would make daily pilgrimages from Wednesday onwards.

But seeing as I don't, and I don't want Gok, or Fearne, I shall steer clear of Mr B.

Stock in my local was not too bad earlier in week, but thought would take a peek today and could not believe my eyes, except for lack of S&G & half an aisle cleared it would be hard to believe xmas has been and gone.

I think Mr B is hoping for a good weekend but I cannot see all of it being sold at 50% so will be taking your advice Sandra ,and I will be starting my daily pilgrimages monday! :rotfl:
