Yes that's exactly what it is. But I'm afraid I'm not willing to pay the 68% price hike they are trying to hit me with
There are no other gyms within a reasonable distance - I have spent hours looking again, but that's the only one. So I felt I was stuck with them. However I have now discovered Lancaster Uni Sports Centre. They have a 25m pool and I have been a couple of times last week and found it to be just fine.
This summer, they're opening a brand new sports complex so by then, their pool and facilities will probably be better than Total Fitness anyway. So I think TF have done me a favour (it's obviously much cheaper too), although I can't see them surviving for much longer if this is their new pricing structure, surely not many people will be willing to pay such massive hikes.0 -

Try joining at Wrexam it's only £38.00 ind membership per month you can use any TF!0

so i can join wrexham online, and attend another centre? will this cause any potential problems or is it all okay?0

As far as I am aware you can use any of the TF gyms once you are a member. Please check though before parting with your money as this rule may have changed!0

Hmm already tried going through all the sites to see which is cheapest. As you say, Wrexham is cheaper than the others but only by a small amount. It's still a lot lot more than I paid before.
It's fine, if they want to apply such silly increases they'll have to put up with losing customers. Eventually they'll get to a point where they realise how many they've lost and hopefully do something about it.
But I think it's too late for me, I've found a better option which is far cheaper and just as convenient. I hope everyone else manages to find an alternative so that you can 'vote with your feet' as it were.0 -
I got mine for £35 a month by ringing head office, and tbh I don't mind paying that:D"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"
