wait til all the rest of the monthlies get moved to main and also end on 31st :rotfl: (assuming the latest suggestion isnt going to be argued away to death)
:) Guessing most of those ending 31st could be / should have been defined as monthlies anyhow ;).

And truly hope the arguments won't restart & can be over, (Until it comes to reviewing weeklies ;)!) We asked Glad to come up with some guidleines, which I'm sure has taked hours. Now we just need to accept them and move on, even if we don't agree with them all :)

Sorry if I am butting in, but I don't really know what to do about this !

A comp I posted hasn't found the winner yet - they say to check junk mail folders and have sent a last desperate email out this morning.
    I have posted details here

Notice more and more competitions are being posted on twitter from fellow MSE members. A lot of them are for prizes such as iphone or ipads. The question I have is how many of these are genuine prizes? Personally I'm starting to think they are just a way of getting extra followers. "I will give away an Ipad2 when I reach 5000 followers" Who's to say they don't just make a name up once the number of followers have been reached? Not saying all twitter competitions are like this but Im starting to be very sceptical of some of them.

the likes of the zagg one, where they are a big well known company and have/do run other promotions in other ways as well i tend to believe. one thats person x who says they have one to give away if you follow them i tend to be wary off, but at the same time retweeting them doesnt give them access to my data, nor does it have any potential for harming me so i may still enter lol

the little stuff, books etc, are more likley to actually materialise....i think anyway.

Pages and pages and pages of comps closing the 31st 1.gif

    cheer up ;)

unless i am missing something i think 31/03 is quieter than normal by comparison, there are only 61 pages = 1220 comps

months later on in the year i have seen upwards of 100 pages = 2000+ comps

There are a lot of compers on twitter, who enter loads and loads on there and most of them seem pretty clued up about who is a genuine comper and who isn't, so you sometimes see conversations on twitter when the prize winner has been announced and it is won by someone who has only ever tweeted once or twice and never before entered a competition, who then wins an ipad or something. Difficult to prove anything though. I remember one once, where people were saying that the guy who won was an employee of the company. But as PCL says, it doesn't take long to enter twitter competitions and they don't have your address or phone number unless you win.
