Just for Robbie in the high jump :D.
Amazed by how much I'm loving the Olympics, was looking forward to it but am REALLY, REALLY enjoying it. To the extent I forgot how many days till I go on holiday (4 weeks 4 days actually ;)).

Another £30 ebay sales paid off. £5,322 to go :).

Love your Olympic emoticons Gally! Have a great day at Wembley :D I was dreading the boring coverage of the Olympics pounding my TV each day, even on the day of the opening ceremony I said I had no enthusiasm for them and felt so out of it being oop North. We were miffed that we didn't get tickets.

Then I watched the opening ceremony and the swimming on the Saturday and I'm hooked! It is so exciting!!! I've really surprised myself and am so excited for it now!

Well done for your eBay sales too :D

At the women's footie last night, superb night (let's gloss over the quality of the football.......) and got to see a medal ceremony which I had really wanted to see. Well done to all the medallists!

Proud to be British, superb organisation, great gamesmakers. And a special mention to everyone in the crowd for the loud, spontaneous and sustained booing of Sepp Blatter :rotfl:.

Olympic record for attendance at a women's football ceremony so I now have an Olympic and World record. Go me!

Off to check the 2012 website to check when my medal ceremony is :rotfl:.

Finally, well done Messrs Bolt, Blake and Weir!

We watched it on a TV in the bar area (missed the 2nd USA goal but as we were supprting Japan we didn't care :p). Great atmosphere. So, with a bit of judicious editing 'yes, I went to the Olympics, I was there when Usain Bolt won the 200 metres' ;).

Off for another cuppa, flagging a bit now :rotfl:.

OK, so, this dairy is supposed to be about paying the mortgage off so time to stop being frivolous :D.

The 2 mortgages on our house (1 of which actually relates to a btl house, keep up ;)) are with Egg and we have been overpaying on them. From next month we can't request back the OP's - mortgages have been sold to Yorkshire Bank & different rules apply) so we decided to get the OP's back and pay a lump sum off the 3rd mortgage. I don't have the strength to repeat the tale of how tortuous a process it was  but hopefully the paperwork is on its way and just over 10k will be on its way to us. This will mean the monthly payments will increase (I don't understand why as we are only trying to get back to the position we would have been in, will see when the paperwork arrives).

Waiting on a letter from 3rd mortgage co to give account details and confirm unlimited OP's ok. They ignored previous letter but don't want to phone as Mr GG would have to do it (mortgage in his name) and he is not very tolerant of security questions :rotfl:.

Less than £5,300 to go on own btl :T. -800 from DD, -900 x 3 from OP's, -120 x 3 rent OP's, -230 x 3 mortgage payments leaves £850 to clear at end of Nov, meaning my bonus of around 1k can start clearing mortgage 3 (well, will be going into ISA which is offset against it on my spreadsheet ;)). That's assuming I don't need to top up my account for clothes/Xmas/car insurance etc as that doesn't seem to be working very well :o. The massive payrise I'm expecting (around 3% :rotfl:) will be going as additional payments into there but that won't be till end of Oct.

Have just posted elsewhere that the £80 I OP'd to joint mortgages offset yesterday knocked 1p off daily interest but I withdrew £40 this morning so it's gone back up again :rotfl:.

It's my birthday in a few weeks and I don't know what I want from Mr GG (well, I did suggest an ipad :rotfl:). It's at times like this I realise how non-materialistic I actually am, and also how blessed I am to have all I want :).

Off for brekkie, shopping and fence painting. Rock n roll :D.

iPads are lovely I could not live without mine. Well done on the repayments you are going great guns just like the Olympics. It's so nice when you see those large numbers come down.
