A photo of a skirted Mr GG (minus face :rotfl:) will be posted in due course :D. He has also taken to doing THIS so has been christened Bruno :rotfl:.

Anyway, I am having a big clean up and Mr GG has been decluttered to the UK for a few days :D. After a few hours work I went down to the playa naturista - lot's of Nature Notes but no photos  :rotfl:.

21.30 and still 33 degrees . Too hot for anything but melon and cherries and some rose wine with ice :o.

    Nature Notes:
    1. 'We Are a Grandmother' has gone a bit pear shaped. Baby sparrows have disappeared . They didn't seem ready to fledge but nest was abandoned and no dead sparrows. Hoping they haven't fallen down vent into extractor fan in kitchen  but will know in a day or two _pale_. Vent cleared (putting extractor fan on full once slats were removed resulted in flying nests :rotfl:) and redone with mesh to stop it reoccurring.

    2. Flamingos still there :T

    3. Had to wait to turn into street while 100 or so goats crossed the road :naughty:.

Awww. A friend of mine once found an adolescent seagull in her living room  the parents were nesting on the chimneypot, and it fell down the flue. Luckily, the room had French windows, so she encouraged it outwards, and it lived in the garden for a week or so, still being fed by its parents, who swooped down to deter cats :D. It learned to fly by scrambling up onto her big plantpots and flapping its wings :D and did indeed survive to fly off to join mum and dad on the chimneypot once again

Kc - one ended up in our woodburner last summer  Fortunately DH managed to take the stove apart without crushing it and we took it to a bird hospital because it was tiny. It made a huge mess though!

When the other babies got bigger, one fell in the road so DH went up the ladder to put it back on the roof. This happened a few more times before they were clever enough to stay put.

No babies on the roof this year thank goodness, I couldn't handle the stress of it!

    Nature Notes:
    1. Sparrows having a dust bath :D
    2. Murmuration of starlings last night, around 750-1,000 of them :T
    3. Em, I may have some pink bits due to falling asleep on the beach earlier - let's just say it's not just my face that looks like this :o.

Finances updated, spending a bit better so far as boozy neighbours have gone home :rotfl:.

Hey Natty, you have been missed. You have to get back on here as there are many of us not really following the true MFW route at the moment so you will easily fit back in. Hope you are well x
