Loved the car. Love the sound of life in spain. Happy for you xx
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Spain for the mo Alex as no visas. Thanks Watty :)

GG 35 Boxes 38 :T, though that's all the quick wins done. Not much progress now till Weds when I get 2 narrow cupboards built for the hall and shelves put up in kitchen. Did make one booboo with putting shelves up in cupboard above fridge freezer - fitted two in but not very tall and I put the biggest one on top - I'll be using the dishes I've put up there quite often so will need to move both shelves tomorrow or Monday :(

Off out on a long walk tomorrow which is much needed - haven't even been down to the bins today . Need to contact someone on local FB page who said they'd like my boxes and bubble wrap - they're welcome :T.

Just to report: Teddy and Little Ted are none the worse for their travels in a vacuum bag and the very delicate item I didn't think would survive but thought I'd try anyway looks like it may be ok :)

    So was Mr GG :D.

Beautiful morning for a gorgeous walk - I think it is going on the same route I did last month, but much further . It nearly killed me last time :rotfl: but that's because it was raining - none of that rubbish today HS2046520bongf60r7k.gif. Plus there is beer and tapas :T.

Waiting with you all on news of little Toots :).

Another few days and all the boxes will be done, so you are progressing each day

    Hope you enjoyed your walk

The walk was glorious for the first 3 miles. Last 1.5 miles nearly killed me :rotfl:, according to the fitbit I climbed the equivalent of 82 flights of stairs . Made a friend though so that's good :T.

Seeing Mr GG in 10 days :D.

Delighted to hear about the safe arrival of Toots :j.

GG 36 Boxes 37, will cross the 1/2 way point tomorrow :).

Thinking of my lovely friend we lost a year ago tomorrow, Facetimed her hubby earlier and felt very sad :(. I was supposed to be gloating I had retired before her, not missing her :o.

  • Well, keep going then, no slacking off.......
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

Thats good that you contacted her husband ... every early death can make you stop and think, but when its someone we know, its painful. Celebrate her life, Gally

GG 47 Boxes 26 :T. Including the toolbox which had to be emptied and merged with Spanish one, main toolbox stored and little tupperware container of a few screwdrivers etc sorted out. Also sorted out the two roof cupboards - I have spare shelves :T. Dolly the Shopping Trolley has a new home :D, it's temporary (she's currently hanging from a rail in wardrobe :)) till I build the steam cleaner and decide on exact spots for those and a few other things.

Used new drill :T. Mop and broom hung up on roof terrace (well, mop will be when it gets a new handle ) and bucket will hang over top of bucket to stop mop getting full of sand - we often get sandy Saharan rain. Two massive boxes of broken down boxes - someone from FB having one, new friend also having some, two big bags of bubble wrap also gifted. Feeling more organised now :T (we won't talk about the clothes :o)

In money matters, paid all outstanding bills today _pale_. Had lifted cash over the last few days, paid into bank, found out they couldn't process bills there , so lifted most of cash back out and walked across square to another bank :rotfl:.

I appear to have packed the paper gremlins , need to find some time to sort out paperwork before it takes over :o.
