  • In the midst all of this, check out the duck on the osprey nest......:)
  • Ohh and if I tell you there is a fight going on for the nest right now, you will not get anything done ..

Uh oh. Between that and the duck, I smell trouble ...

Gally ... isn't Spain supposed to be a, y'know, holibob? Or is that now a rude word for the recently retired :D ?

My mum has been retired for a few years now and from the way she complains about it, I don't think the life admin ever ends  Although maybe you can spread it out a bit so it doesn't feel like it's taking up all of your time?

Oh heck, I thought it was going to stop at some point! :rotfl:

DS walked in yesterday and went to walk off with my big mirror :rotfl:

Man buying wardrobe supplied own Allen keys :D

Fortunately I missed the posts about the duck (which was actually an Egyptian goose :D) - they have been there on and off for days and laid an egg but a crow took it :( just as well really as mum osprey arrived yesterday :T, very, very late compared to other years but the bad weather in Europe held them all up (according to Farming Today they can sense the weather is bad from 100's of miles away - how clever :T and not just ospreys but all migrating birds). So that's mum and dad back. Here's hoping they have a straightforward season and none of the Jeremy Kyle shenanigans of last year

For those of you who don't know what I'm on about (again :)) search for Rutland Ospreys webcam - and say goodbye to the next few months :rotfl:

BTW am awake at stupid o'clock as my body's way of making sure I don't sleep through an early alarm is to not sleep at all

Every time I look at the nest there's nothing there, not even a duck (goose). I can tell it's on though as there is a fly!

Yup, even though they lied - the rain in Spain doesn't stay mainly in the plain :rotfl:
    Yup, still lying :(

Due to pick up in next few days though and nice neighbours are here so not all bad :T.

Was planning on an Ikea run but now I've measured the space available for storage I may not bother. Bathroom cabinet width only :rotfl:.

We've been obsessed with watching this for a couple of years. Watched the eggs hatch last year and went and looked through a telescope too. Beautiful birds.
