Shocking night's sleep again - am off the coffee.

You're just excited, will probably take you a good 6 months to find your feet as a non working person :)

53 years young, eh? Well done :T

    Wow what a journey
I kept thinking If I got to the end I could join in the parties but then you go and plan to leave Europe
I promise I would have behaved , and you didn't need to do that .
Thank you for a great read, I have loved all the dancing and smilies and really in awe of what you have achieved
Well done and enjoy the ME

I was reading Jon Snow's MMM reflection on his first six months of early retirement and he talks of needing a significant time to recuperate.

    (I luv yew Jon Snoooow).

What, especially as he lost lots of weight and is now super trim :rotfl:

Walked down to village tonight and got sympathy When I hobbled into bar but they seemed to think it was funny when I told them what was wrong :rotfl: walked back in much better state but playing up again now :(

Debs maybe I'll hang around a bit just for you :D

Thanks for all messages folks - especially new folks who don't appear to have their own diaries yet (hint hint).

Went out with walking group today :T, managed to walk off groin injury :T. Really pleased as it was a lot more 'scrambly' than I was expecting, I wouldn't have risked it had I known. Managed to keep up with the pace, despite it being my first time (not going to mention that one walker was 81 :rotfl:). Was going to walk to village tonight but a) don't want to get reputation as a lone drinker :D and b) it's chuffing cold out there!

It's a week since I finished work and I've hardly given it a thought :T, so nice that though I'm back in the UK in a few days there is no work on the horizon :T.

The weather hasn't been great but I have colour in my face and feel SO much better :j. Am liking this not working for a living :)

Mr AJM and I have just been discussing the mortgage and how early we can sensibly get rid of it so we don't need to work, I can't wait until I can post something like that. Whatever happens with our mortgage Mr AJM will be retiring in 8 years and 2 days (his 60th birthday), I made that promise to him some time ago, that would be the longest he would have to work for. We are hoping to be mortgage free by then but at least it will be to a level that I can manage if not.

Like AJM and her OH, I can't **wait** till I can say that! End of August next year, its coming close. Even if I have to work other stuff online, I won't have the situation I have now. Enjoy your newly retired-dom :j
