Hi Gallygirl, just been reading through some of your diary. Looks like you're doing well and can't believe you've managed to keep the diary going for over 3 years!!!
I've got a diary on here but struggle to remember to log on. Can I just ask what Tillytidy means? is it just rounding stuff off?
Also, how do you work out what can go into the overpayment? I can never work out how much to leave in the bank to not go into overdraft.
I will be reading your diary and others who comment on it regularly to keep me inspired. We're in the middle of moving house so I will need all the inspiration I can get as it's totally going against my wish of paying off the mortgage early...
great diary, keep up the good work0 -
Aren't the day jobs pesky, GG :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: and thats a lot of phone calls - I'm impressed!
Nifty, yes, Tillytidies are rounding things off and sending it to savings or overpayments, I think.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Oh you poor soul, you must have been very bored :rotfl:.
Tilly Tidy means you take the odd pence in your bank account on a daily basis and add it to savings/OP mortgage etc. It's good for keeping you motivated and a bit of fun - plus the little amounts all add up :T.
Re overpayments, well you need to budget and monitor I'm afraid. I use a spreadsheet where every DD is listed for the next year, all known money shown going in and a weekly amount for shopping etc. That gives an idea of what my outgoings are likely to be. I put away a regular amount every month to a separate account, that is allocated against Xmas, birthdays, car repairs etc, so irregular bills are evened out. Then basically I overpay a regular amount every month. There is only around £10 spare each month , if I do overspend I need to rein in my weekly spends for a week or two. Then at the end of the month, any coppers left are overpaid :T.
Good luck with the move - stressful .A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Haha - I haven't heard anyone say 'raging' in ages, NP.
Glad everything is going well GG, no ospreys around here, but we have some seagulls that could probably take them
I take it that these are real ospreys, and I'm not making a tit of myself by missing an obvious joke (see misuse of the word 'bush')?0 -
