Two months is outrageous. To give them their due, E*n settled up within 4 weeks after I shifted away. I think it's fair to give them "one billing period" to draw everything to a close, say 4 weeks, especially if you shift just after a bill has been produced.
OH just got a letter from his supplier saying they'd not had a meter reading for 14 months. He queried it and was pleasantly surprised to find he's got a credit balance of.......
......wait for it......
..............
£1800:eek::eek::eek:
So that's coming our way we hope.
It's also told me that OH needs lessons in MSE techniques. I'm worried that he didn't have the first idea about this!!

I did used to pay by direct debit for my utilities. Now i just pay when the bill comes in. I like not owing anyone any money and i like even more so them not owing me money as it can take an age to sort outThe thing that really irks me now though is how i still find it very unclear how they work the bill out - i can't think of any other bill that is presented in such a complicated way ? Unless it is just me
GG - hope the refund is sooner rather than later
Tilly - hope you got there with it in the end
I'm with Frst Utilitis. I pay by direct debit, so I can't forget or be late, but it's variable, and they just take what I owe each month, so there's no chance to build up a surplus (or a deficit).Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

I can't beat it but I will join it. We have been changing from e*f to sainsbugs energy (BG) since July. E*f refused the final meter readings we submitted to Sainsbugs when we set up the accounts after refusing to release our accounts 2 months previously. They currently have about £150 sitting in our account and I have no idea how much we need to settle as they are dragging their heels so much. Hopefully it won't drag on too long, it was only meant to take 12 weeks!MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Happy Friday :T
Spring is in the air so let me be the first to say :easter_os
WFH - love that moment when I switch the CH timer to 'on all day' :j.
Tonight I will mostly be channeling Ken Hom (due to an accidental over-supply of ginger).
Thought for the day:
When you do something for charity and collect sponsorship money why does some of it always disappear into your own purse and you have to top it up :rotfl:.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Oh I know that feeling with the sponsorship money, never stays separate does it?:o
Did you know you can grate the ginger and freeze it? Chinese sounds nice though.Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000
