Well the clocks going back tomorrow may go a little way towards recouping the couple of hours I seem to have lost this morning .

Been cooking :T. Prepared chicken cacciatore (well, it's marinating). Made 30 pork, lemon and sage meatballs and tomato sauce. Little bit of brown rice in cupboard so done it with a little tomato puree, onion, pepper, cumin, coriander and chilli flakes. Well, chilli snowstorm as I opened the wrong end :rotfl:. Fried off 3 cooking chorizo sausages, 1 for lunch, 2 for freezing. Wasn't sure how authentic they'd taste as they were Asda's own, so thought I'd best do some quality control. So, that'd be 1 for lunch and 1 for freezing then :o.

Oh dear :(. Holiday spends, including some furniture, plus topping up Spanish bank account to last the winter means we won't even drop 1k this month :(.

On the brighter side, my Mr GG debt is down to just over 35k, will be below it next week :T.

We have 2 regular savers maturing this week (though interest not paid till 31st December dunno-smiley-emoticon.gif) so there will be some juggling but it doesn't affect overall debt. Ho hum. Onwards and downwards :T

    Ryanair changes from 1st Dec:

"You'll be allowed to bring either a second, small carry-on bag (maximum size 35cm x 20cm x 20cm), or a duty-free carrier bag, alongside your main hand luggage bag"
:j:j:j So much stress has just gone out of my life. No more sticking a handbag over my shoulder under a jacket and looking like a hunchback :j:j:j.

    Mr O'Leary - Thank you :kisses3:

Gallygirl, I'm not convinced Michael O'Leary deserves a kiss :rotfl:Reckon a smack or a loud raspberry would be more appropriate ... It brought a smile to my face to see you're cooking today, me too, hoping to make enough meals to cover work this week, made chilli con carne yesterday, most of which is in the freezer, and will make macaroni cheese today. :j
  • Evening GG, delighted with the ry@nair news - it will make life much easier:)

Has the carry on case reduced in size again?

I am scared of Ryanair after our connecting flights from Austria were delayed, leaving Mrs E's parents with a £700 bill as they couldn't/wouldn't do anything re. changing their onward flight time

This was several years ago, but bad impressions are hard to break.

It's not a rule change just they're publically agreeing to comply with international regulations - you've always been allowed to take a duty free bag on with you, it's an arguement I had with the their staff once they weren't impressed at being overruled by the airport staff who showed them the regulation. Extending it to allow a handbag is just putting them in line with everyone else I think - either way I tend to have a small bag which hides in my airport shopping bag, and that carrier bag I've usually brought with me so I'm not paying airport prices. :A

Edit to add I've found the paperwork I keep with my passport to wave in the faces of annoying Ryanair staff - Law 48/1960 Article 97 of the Air Navigation Law.
