Either there's hunners of wedgies that read GGs diary elantan, or everyone is too polite to enquire as why the local greengrocer would be willing to swap a piece of ginger for glass.....OR MAYBE (and this is the highly likely scenario)....not many folks stop by anymore as they know she's just gonna be prattling on about onions:D
Oh you're back are you? How long is your pass for this time :p?

OK - Glaswegian slang - 'glass cheque' is a empty lemonade bottle with a deposit on it. Well actually, more likely to be an Irn Bru bottle :D.

    'Ginger' is pop.

PS I may know someone who used to nip in the back gate of the sweetie shop to pinch the bottles and take them back round the front to get the deposit back again :o.

PPS - no more onion updates as we are back to normal levels. However, Mr GG and I had bangers n mash with caramelised onion gravy tonight and very nice it was too :T.

Yes, do you have a problem with that ;)?

Mr GG and I up since 5.30 as couldn't sleep . I have productively earned £1.25 in adpoints. He has been playing games and been on youtube playing some old classic songs. And Paddy McGinty's Goat. You couldn't make it up. Am expecting Delaney Had A Donkey any minute .

Spooky do, DH has just cleaned the oven! Boy, did it need it.

I think he is making up for having to buy another suit yesterday. It's a necessary spend, but still ouchy. Annoyingly though he'd put it on the debit card and I'd just set up the credit card for TCB points..... Never mind, at least I get a clean oven out of it, lol!

  • Hi Cat, TCB and setting a card up to get points - is this like £co, where you register a card and earn cash when you use it in certain stores? Thanks, Tilly
