Well I have handed my notice in rather than going on maternity leave, so at the moment the plan is not to go back at all until the littlies are at school. I think in reality I will end up going back part-time though.
Hopefully we will get used to living without my wage (and be able to put my maternity pay to one side) so that when I get a part-time job I can use the money to pay off debts and overpay the mortgage.Mummy to 3 fabulous boys all under 4 :eek:0 -
Ooh we have both had out bonuses this morning, so we had just under 5k in our account. We need £1800 in there to cover bills, mortgage food and everything for the month, so have been able to transfer some money around

We have transferred £1500 to the credit card. (We still owe about 4k on it, but hey every little helps). We are going to write OH's mum a cheque for £900 which we have owed her since about September, and it has also cleared out overdraft. We will have about £560 left.
We are going to have a couple of really nice days out with the boys before baby arrives, and OH and I are going to have a nice night out too. DH wants to buy some kind of filter for his camera, think it's about £15. I would like to have about £300 left to put to one side just in case something comes up that we need to pay for.
A good day though

Just a quick update from work... Today is my last day, and then I will be a full time stay at home mum! I'm kind of scared now as to how things will work out money wise, but I can always get a part-time job in a few months if needs be....Mummy to 3 fabulous boys all under 4 :eek:0

Hi all, thought I'd better do a quick update as it's been a couple of weeks since I've posted on here.
I've been finished work for just over a week now, and it's been lovely to be off with the boys, especially in the sunshine. We have had some nice days out with friends, and lots of picnics in the sun. Hubby is off work all this week and so we have loads of plans too. Yesterday we went to ChaMichelle's house for a barbecue which was really nice. Our boys played together really well and had a whale of a time.
Today hubby and I have had a day out without the boys, as MIL and FIL took them out for the day. We went to Harrogate and had a mooch around the charity shops, and had a pub lunch. When the boys came home they were so shattered they were both in bed and fast asleep for 6:45pm
Tomorrow DS1 starts preschool, and I am feeling a bit emotional about it. He will be wearing a little uniform and going every morning for 3 hours. Whilst he is there I will have to pop out and get some bits for hubby's birthday (on Wednesday) and then will nip and see my friend and her baby.Mummy to 3 fabulous boys all under 4 :eek:0 -
Ooh, also I'm expecting a delivery of 2 massive boxes of baby clothes which I have bought for £75. The 2 boxes weigh 25kg combined, so there should be tons and tons of stuff in there! We already have all the 0-3 month stuff which I've got from the car boot sales and from friends. The new stuff which is coming is 3-6, 6-9 and 18-24 months.
I think we are all sorted for baby's things now apart from a mattress for the moses basket and the cot. I am going to wait til we get paid on Friday to order them, and then MIL has told us she will pay for them for us.
I have just over 6 weeks left til my due date and am feeling rather nervous now!!Mummy to 3 fabulous boys all under 4 :eek:0 -
Hope DS has a great morning and enjoys pre school.0
