Well the estate agents came and took all the photo's etc. We had to pay some money up front for an energy assessment, and they off they went.
I'm now waiting for them to email me the brochure, so I can approve it and get our house on the internet, in the estate agents window etc.
I feel like I'm really in limbo right now, and would just like to feel like things are really happening. I hope we don't put it up and then have no viewings for months, that would be soul destroying :(

Grrrr not had the brochure emailed through from the estate agent, and they said it would be through yesterday. I will give them til 11am and then if I've not received anything I'll give them a ring.

Have just redone the budget for this month and in theory it all looks ok. Just need to keep away from car boot sales, Ebay, nearly new sales, in fact any shops in general both real and online :rotfl:

We are going to Scotland next Friday for 5 nights so that should be a welcome break. It's a freebie, we will be staying at a friend's parents house (whilst they're not there). We can take the dog, so no kennel fees to pay and it's right by the beach so the boys can play and make sandcastles etc - no doubt with their coats on if this weather carries on. I'm looking forward to getting away, it should be a nice change to see some different scenery and have some fresh air ;)

  • Bit cheeky of the estate agents to put up the for sale sign before you have ok'd the brochure, hopefully you will recieve it this morning.

Break sounds nice, i think you always feel refreshed after a change of scenery.

Well it looks like I'm going to be off work for at least the next week. The dr has signed me off for a week due to the headaches I keep getting. I have to go back in a week's time to see how I feel then.

Ooh the estate agent called yesterday evening to see if we want to take part in an open house event. Cheeky beggars are charging more for the extra advertising, £24 in all, but if it drums up some interest then I don't suppose it's too bad.
It's going to be next Sunday 1pm - 5pm. Will send the boys to the mother in law nice and early and get the house nice and clean and tidy.

  • Sorry to here about the headaches, great news about the open day, hope people are interested and someone puts a decent offer in, fingers crossed.

I've been looking at our bills this morning and trying to see how I can save some money... I've cancelled our pet insurance! We received our renewal quote, and for 1 dog and 2 cats it was £32!! I've just changed to Tesco and it will be £24 now, so although it's only £8 a month cheaper, that is almost £100 a year.
Am going to look and see if there is anywhere else we can save ;)

  • Long time no update. We had a nice few days away in Scotland and only went a little bit over budget. It was lovely to spend the week off with DH and the boys. I have had to spend a bit extra on maternity clothes though, as my bump has grown out of all my size 12's grrrrr!
I now have 3 weeks left at work and am signed off sick for 2 of them. I keep getting lots of headaches, so the dr has said to stay home and take it easy and also go for an eye test.
We have had NO interest on the house, and even had an open viewing which no-one turned up to. DH is going to ring the estate agents this afternoon to see what they are actually doing to try and generate interest.
Hopefully we will have a low spend weekend. We have promised DS1 we will get some seeds for some fruit and veg and do some planting this weekend.
