Charged to receive txt messages!

I recently entered into a new Orange contract with pretty much unlimited calls and txts.

I was finding i was still going way over the monthly planned bill, i checked on line and im being charged 0.009 to receive a txt.

I wasnt aware of this and i had never heard of being charged for receiving txts unless they are from abroad, but this is ever single txt i receive and they are all local.

Is there anything I can do about this?


i called orange i had "delivery receipt" set on my phone which was incurring the charge ... fixed now!

It's always been thus with orange as long as I can recall. Switching off message reports on the phone avoids the charge. The cgharge is for delivery reports, not text messages as your title suggests!

You don't get charged to receive texts from phones abroad. Texts are free to receive.

yu have delivery reports set up on the handset, what phone do you have and maybe someone can help you dis able them
