Great theory, I must adopt this.

EH - thats such a shocker, for you as well as for her. You were brave to go so quickly towards it too.

It was a tv programme when I was a kid called Pipkins. Octavia was an ostrich and Hartley was a hare. Sorry - showing my age.
Pretty sure I'm the oldest :D Possibly another channel :D

    Good evening KC,

    Hiya!
Laptop man, oh dear :( sorry you have to do that but there is a very delicate frustration vs money balance on such matters & there comes a point when spending money is the lesser evil.

One of the reasons for choosing the make of my new laptop was due to to working with a team of very knowledgeable long term users ;).You know, thats a very good reason ....

A bit of Jamie wont go amiss & as to Octavia ... isnt that a Jilly Cooper book ?
Cheri, yes you are showing your age, but in a *good* way - after Lula commented too, I had to google - turns out Octavia and whatnot were a children's programme in the early 70s - I was in the pub :D:D:D

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: gosh the 70s? thought it was earlier. I was in a video conference last week and we were talking about pensions. I felt quite flattered because the speaker said to me Oh you wouldn't have had casual service prior to 1990 and when I said that I did from 82-84 somebody piped up that they werent born then (or for another 6 years) I was knocked sideways. I remember being the youngest on the section. I only bent down to tie my shoelace at 23 and when I stood up I was 46 - Where did all those years go?

I so relate to that! I don't feel any different - except maybe more balanced. I was told I looked exactly the same just a couple of years ago, by somebody who hadn't seen me since my 20s - I *know* thats a lie, but its a gracious one :p I have it on good authority that to somebody who's *actually* in their 20s, I look my age

My niece still thinks I'm cool tho

Seems ridiculous, it really does. You're 46 now? So early 70s is your primary school years. Its definitely the beginning of my pub years - in the early/mid70s, I was a student, so of course I knew a lot of children's tv programmes very well :D:D:D

Andy Pandy was still going for you, Taxi? I didn't realise it had gone on that long. I had Andy Pandy, the Woodentops, and my mum says I liked Muffin the Mule - which wasn't rude in those days :D

Relaxing after high school was the magic roundabout and Noggin the Nog ....

Me too, as a littley, I was out on my bike - but by the time I was 15, 15 minutes of tv at 5pm or so was bliss, before revision nights ....
