lol no need to be brave just ask away.
giraffes are drafts. in my case when i moved to the east angle of englandshire folks got confuddled with my dorset/yorkshire accent and it just sort of stuck.

Thanks for the explanation We have many words that have stuck like that too!

The good folk of East Anglia had trouble with YOUR accent :rotfl: Have they listened to themselves??? :eek: (I can say this as I was brought up in Huntingdonshire, not far from the Fens, and have spent a lot of time in Norfolk and Suffolk).

You came from two lovely parts of the country by the way

thanks, both were lovely as is the east angles. You're very right though they have a lot of funny phrases and accents. Trouble is i've not picked up the odd phrase of theirs as well. Ah well it will soon be time to move on lol
