Myself and Mr Fresian don't really do Valentine's Day so I invited a friend round and we ate (a lot) and had some wine then watched a crap film - Mean Girls, which I love - and talked some nonsense. It was a really fun night.
What's a Graze box, Fresian?
Love the resurgance of your top smileys!
And as for crap films, I love Mean Girls, too! I think it's cos it is a bit cleverer than the average chick flick: it winks cheekily (but in a stylish way, of course) at the whole annoying American teenage thing. It's funny as anything!
Well done on the Quidco and bonus - that's a lot of pennies for your ceramic Fresian cow! Please call me 'Pickle'
No More Buying Books: ???

Morning folks
Only a week to go until payday (Woo...!) but it's not that exciting this month as I'll be getting quite a lot less than I've been used to due to changing jobs back to my previous salary grade. Add to that the joy of the car tax (£200+ for the year) and the insurance (£400+) and it's not going to be a cheap month in Fresian Towers. Bah!
My plan is to pay both the tax and insurance on the credit card and PAD to the them. I'll then be able to make a dent in them from my "spare" money and will only have to pay the remainder with my savings at the end of next month. If I get a reasonable bonus then I won't have to worry about that as much as that will be paid before the end of next month hits.
Money
PAD/Spends - £36.75
Entertainment - £25.75
Groceries - £15.17
ISA - £877.62
VSP - £182.59
This is quite good as at least until the car tax is paid I have over £1000 in savings
Better get showered I suppose. I'm aiming to be in work for eight today - likely to miss that target

Cheap day yesterday - only £5 spent and all of it was on essentials from the supermarket. Last night I made another load of cards, pics are in the usual place, to complete some orders I've had for them. I really like them, hopefully my MSe friends will feel the same when they receive them in the post!
I am due another bit of extra income today as I've been invited to a patients forum at the local Bupa hospital following my operation last year. There is a buffet (free dinner!) and they will pay me £20 for my time too :j They have said it will be no more than two hours, so that's not a bad return for an evening when I would probably be sitting watching telly anyway
If I get a cheque for that I'm going to use it as a mortgage overpayment - I've overpaid £140 so far since the start of the year, which is pretty good given that I have been building up savings too and once the car tax etc is out of the way I can start overpaying more often!0 -
This MSE friend loves them! X'The road to a friends house is never long'0

Blooming hope so or I'd be the longest pregnant person to ever live!
Gosling is almost 4 months old!! And I look about 40yrs older due to sleep deprivation!!
I have updated my diary at last and I am in love. With my gosling. Best thing since sliced bread. But harder work than a loaf of bread. Can't just leave him in a bread bin and carry on as before!
How's you? Congrats on the debt free life!!!! You worked hard to clear it so big respect to you.
