A Payment A Day - Part 10!

Wow well done Scraps! This one came home from it's MOT in disgrace with 5 pages of failures and a quote of £500+ to fix them all so we decided against keeping it!
I've never been paid weekly and I always think that must be so difficult having to spread stuff out like that so you know you will have the money. I don't think I could get my head round it! I did used to get paid fortnightly as a student, but it was a sales job and they'd give you all your commission at the start of the month, then a smaller 'top up' basic payday half way through! That was good :rotfl:
Welcome back Danko, will you be coming here often...? Hows the teaching going?
xx
I think I would struggle with any fixed time between paydays now. I've been self-employed for nearly 20 years. I've had the odd little PAYE job from time to time during that period but only ever as a supplement.
Although it has it's drawbacks, it can sometimes be really helpful looking through the list of overdue work figuring out which customers are in who usually pay cash. When cashflow is tight, I actually do that sometimes. Sod's law says they are out or end up giving me a cheque for the first time in years of course0 -
Afternoon PAD-ers
I have been away for a fews days so not kept but with my PADs. So today I paid £10 to RBS cc to get me back on track.Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

£1.11 for me today to the change jar.
OH has been paid weekly for the past 4 years while he has been a temp. I get paid monthly (I've never seen a penny of my wages, it goes in at the end of the month and the morgage goes out on the 1st) Having the weekly pay was great but he has gone on monthly for a 6 month+ contract and I'm finding it difficult now.0 -
Well.... i got to my target in March last year then starting eating everything in sight:o Heading back to classes next week as i have a stone to lose. Hoping to lose most of this by April as we have a holiday in the sun to look forward to - fingers crossed:)
What is Zumba?
Well done for hitting your target, you know now you can get there again! Sunny days sounds fab though - where are you jet setting to? It's those Gu chocolate and sour cherry cookies on offer in ASDA at the moment that get me... oh my days they're amazing! :EasterBun Zumba's a ''Latin inspired dance fitness program together with international beats'' apparently! But it's a good laugh if you can get down to a session.

Thanks Sil! Hoping to keep bobbing in yeah now that *some* money's starting to come in again and I can put a bit away towards the CC's. Teaching wise, the job front's reet grim but I've been kept busy with supply work. Hoping that the job front's going to start picking up... she says! Things okio with you?

Hope everyone has had a good day. I managed to bag a bargain and some freebies today in Boots. I had to buy some new make up so I went round the beauty counters asking for advice. I got a free sample from one and then went to my usual brand and spoke to them for a bit about their products. I got my foundation with a voucher I received at Christmas and the sales person gave me a little bag of products to try for free. I then got a £5 off voucher for No.7 or Ruby & Millie so I bought a £7 nail varnish for £2. Good times!PAD-ing Since 7/1/11 2012 - £2329.10 2011 - £4760.88 :money:
