    Hi All

I keep coming and going from this thread - so much else to do - so here is me for today.

    £188.98

Our debt increased through 2010, at one point reaching almost £23K, not counting two loans and the mortgage.

It is now down to £20K, 11 payments left on Loan 1 , 35 left on Loan 2.

I have done a snowball using make sense of cards and by careful planning, store cupboard and freezer use - this £20K should be 0 by July 2012, but am aiming for April 2012.

We are expecting an insurance payout this year, somewhere between £10K - £15K, but that is not going to the debts as apart from the main one which is 6.9% LOB - they are all at 0%. That will be going to the mortgage to give us a head start on that - it is part endowment and will not be enough to pay off  the endowment part.

From April last year I kept a household spend diary and it makes scary reading

Groceries £5766.96 just over £640 average per month
Eating out/Takeaway £429.6 just over £47 per month

The other main expense was leisure. gym, badminton clubs, fishing and DS driving lessons.

I will definitely be reviewing all these - there are only 3 adults in the house, although DS can eat for England, so sometimes seems like 5 or more are being fed.

    Speak again soon x
  • Morning all. I feel terrible today - every muscle in my body hurts. Not just a little bit, either :(

    morning all.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. We hit the sales, came away with lots and lots of bargins - and the best bit? All except £38 was paid for using vouchers!!

No PAD here I'm afraid - am left with £1.22 until pay day on friday! BUT did get my mint statement through and, I'm not sure how, but I have overpaid it, so bneed to see how I go about getting the £180 sitting on it back!!
