I went online to my bank account earlier and there is an item that has been paid in today called EHL Cashback. It's for £15. I have not a clue what it's for. I've looked up EHL on the internet and there is Euro Hockey League, English Hockey League, some company that does ingredients for food, another that has something to do with nappies. Nothing I've read looks remotely like anyone I've ever done business with. The money has been paid into my personal account as a giro credit. I've been in touch with Santander and they can't tell me yet but they are going to trace it and write to me in about a week (yeah right).
I just found the same. I am pretty sure that it is cashback from Energyhelpline for switching gas or electricity suppliers so if that sounds right it's yours to keep :j0 -

Apologies for no pads recently (or today) - trying to get and stick to a budget in order to work out what can be padded and changing bank accounts.
Need some advice from you worldy wise bods on the subject of loss adjusters.
Last night an uninsured and very drunk driver wrote my parked car off(Known as Colin the Corsa and much loved despite being a little saggy round the edges) - this morning he is in police custody (not Colin!) nursing a hangover, a black eye from his girlfriend and feeling v sorry for himself - shame!
Insurance co have so far been excellent - however - at some point in the very near future a loss adjustor is going to offer me an insulting low amount of money for my car which I am supposed to refuse and we are to go through this process until either I tire of him or he offers a reasonable sum of money.
Advice required is - does anyone have any experience of this and can they offer pearls of wisdom?
Because he is uninsured I will have to pay excesses which will then be claimed back through the court and returned to me however I do need a new Colin asap for my job and don't have much spare wonga to purchase anything whilst waiting for court cases etc.0 -

I've been absolutely hopeless about updating here but with payments made on 22 January, 4 February, 8 Feb and today, in those four weeks I have PADed a grand total of £384.43 to CapOne, Egg and BCard, in addition to the usual DDs which are now for fixed monthly amounts rather than the minimum payment (thanks Martin, I'd never have done this without you).
Now I'm totally out of spare money, DD has just bought a car which I helped her insure, and I have heating oil, car tax and a huge vet bill to pay, so no PADs for the next month, probably.0
