If it's melted maybe it was a cheapo carpet and you should courteously advise your friend that if she buys cheap she pays dear....not only in terms of your friendship but in terms of flooring...or try the suggestions above...

Other than that? I'd panic google how to make a rag rug and spend the next 24 hours making one and I'm sure all sorry will be gone and harmony restored...believe you just need coffee sacks and scraps of fabric..sure a woman so talented as you can do it

Anyhow...glad all is tickety boo in the paddling pool. I could possibly pad today but trying not to till tomorrow am cos it's Sabbath though trying desperately not to withdraw any more out of cash point till Tues..however I fear I may just have to get stamps tomorrow. I made Governor Palin a b-day card yesterday cos it's her birthday soon and I've just used the last of the xmas 2nd class - but maybe even those can wait till tuesday
