Know what you mean about vet bills, my second labrador caught the end of her tail and after 3 months of treatment they finally hacked 6 inches off the end and then presented me with a £700 bill! We are insured (thank god) but took 9 weeks for the insurance cheque to arrive - added to that we had only just moved and had to do a 40 mile round trip every other day for dressing etc.
And, if all that wasn't bad enough the insurance was due for renewal half way through the treatment so could not shop about for good deal and get stung for £50 every month for 2 accident prone dogs!
Noticed the last time I was there that the vet had a brand new BMW in the carpark so at least I know my money went to a good cause :rotfl:0 -
A great big payday pad of £365 for me please - I so look forward to payday and then it all goes in a flash but at least it keeps the wolves from the door.
Did my shopping in Lidl yesterday and could not believe how much bang for my buck I got - had to rely on pictures on some of the tins and will have to find a translator for some of the instructions when it comes to cooking things but what's life without a bit of adventure! :rotfl:0 -

Awww poor Bonjy
I still miss my Poppy, amazing how attached you become to the little critters. Hugs Danko xx
Frankie and Benny are settling in well - I think they might have Scottish ancestry because there was a bagpiper on the One Show a minute ago and they both ran out of their tunnel when it came on haha! Loving some of the name suggestions though, almost makes me want to go get more pets just to give them the names!
£1 pad for me today please FF!
ForeverHoping, I love Lidl - only problem is I spend more than normal in there because I buy all the yummy things instead of the things on my list I'm supposed to get! Fantastic value though and I find the fruit and veg is excellent quality.
Hope you have all had a lovely day
xxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -

I've been missing for a few daysWent out for a drink with OH on Friday night to his local pub and he suggested a short cut down a steep, slippy bank - guess who fell over and twisted her ankle?:( Absolute bloody agony
It's a lot better today tho but it's still swollen!
Admit it hun,you were tipsy weren't you?!:rotfl::DSeriously though, hope the swelling goes down soon.
Angelicmary I hope you feel better soon luvie,I'm coming down with another cold passed on by my adorable munchkins (feel the love!).I wouldn't mind, but my lungs aren't 100% yet.Sigh.Roll on summer I say!
LondonAndy that was a huge payment yest-go you!:T
Erme, don't beat yourself up too much,we all need a treat every now and again,so long as you don't do it every month-that really would be ouchy! How about you hold your hand out and I'll hold mine then we're both slap each other?1,2,3.....;)
Ok,I am wiped tonight, thought I was finally getting back to normal but I fell asleep on the sofa in the middle of the day (v unlike me),so maybe I'm not as recovered as I thought. It's hard to take it easy and rest when you have little ones though.
I'm v excited as it's payday today (yippie),so I would like to make a PAD of 150.00 pounds please FF.
I confused the poor barclays man on the customer services line as he couldn't grasp that I wanted to lower my overdraft not increase it!:rotfl:
Anyway,take care all,night night xx:female:Our 2 gorgeous little girls born 2006 and 2010
