Oh I forgot to mention the current PDL for year 8 is about to go on maternity leave and so her job is being advertised. She came up to me at the prom to congratulate me on my promotion and to say she was gutted I'm not applying for her job. She's the second person to suggest strongly I should have gone for it. Hmmm...

Still, thats only a maternity leave and what I'm doing now is perm. So even though that would be much more money, it would also be much more work and only temp. It's still a nice ego boost though. :D

So its another day off work for me...not slept a wink. Sinuses are causing a world of pain and I need to get back to the doctors. Really not a happy bunny. Wouldn't mind but was fine Friday so went to work and the prom and was drinking. Bet work think I'm a right slacker and a waste of space. :-(

I'm on STRONG antibiotics again, steam x 3 per day and pain killers. I'm not happy. I've also been signed off for the week. Now if only I could sleep. I've had about 1 hour. :(

  • Well no-one has a week off for a hangover, so don't worry. Also good that you have a doc note as we are not allowed to self-certify on Thursday.

Cheers guys. Feeling really sorry for myself. Apparently the lady that does cover commented on how I was ok on Friday night. One of the women in my department turned round and gave her a gob full. Yey my dept. :D

Going to spend my week in Wales with DH so he can look after me and take care of Belle for me.

Right looking at finances and thinking that I defo need to really consider ks3/gcse science tutoring. My head is likely to let me use my classroom after the school day is over to do it. So what should I charge if I do it? Should I do individual or would you do several at a time if the opportunity presented itself. Im confused.

  • £20 an hour for one-to-one minimum. Maybe £15 an hour each for a group.

Maybe I am an optimist. I was thinking 25 for one to one, 20 each for a small group. Hmmm...I've just realised I will have to pay tax etc as well. !!!!.
