  • Thanks for the recipes itsallinthemind. Great for me as a vegan, I can make those without having to adapt them :j
I'll have to type up my cheats tagine that I made up when I had nout in the house for you, can be challenging to find new things and not get in a food rut. I would be vegan, but use butter for baking and I can't give up cheese. Cheddar is the centre of my food universe. Will do it later on as I'll only confuse you with my instructions if I type it whilst my head is full :D
  • Cover it in rice in a bowl, put in airing cupboard, Two I had I put on radiators never came back to life, The one I did that with was fine :)

Thank you! I'll do that before bed! :)

Your recipes look fab too, I'll have to try those out! :j

Aw that's lovely of you thanks :) I seriously thought I'd have trouble as I loved loved loved cheese. But it didn't bother me once I'd made the decision. We use vitalite and soya spread in place of butter and it bakes/cooks just the same.In fact they prefer vitalite to other 'butter' spreads.

I don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.

Oh dear, I think I've just made a costly mistake! I dropped my mobile phone in the bath! And I've done it once before. :o

It's drying out on the radiator as we speak...
Be careful heating it as you could fry the insides

Once saved a laptop this way....

Take phone and put it in a little tupperware (or similar) box, fill box with rice. Leave phone for a few days.

It should draw out moisture trapped in the phone. It's worked for me more than once!

I mainly use soya spread, I stock up on it, but sometimes run out and the local village co-op does not stock it. I've not had Cheddar since before Christmas(along with coffee) but sometimes I just get this nuts craving for that salty protein on toast. It will bug me for ages then I'll end up having cheese in toast three days in a row. Difficult as it is in the house as I feed my children anything and everything, although my Special Needs child dislikes meat I think as he eats round it lol. The cheese taunts me everytime I open the fridge

Oh dear, I may have killed it already then! DH blasted it with my hairdryer!:rotfl:

Minnie, I don't know if you've considered it but have you thought about part worn tyres? They are much cheaper than brand new ones and you can often get good brands for next to nothing. The last set I bought were £60 for the whole lot of branded tyres for a golf. I was impressed and probably will never darken the door of Nat tyres again!

yeah i always buy part worn much better value! the garage wanted £100 and then add to that labour - i said er no thanx i can sort tyres myself! the place i go to also swaps my tyres around so i get the most wear out of all as back ones wear much slower. Still going to have to wait though!! - they are still legal!! i did find it funny that the garage rang myself at lunch to tell me my tyres were legal but did I want them to give me two new front ones! Just before christmas - when they were charging me £200 for my car being there anyway!!!
