Hey all in the mind,
How do you make your cereal bars? I make flapjacks occasionally but I find them a little heavy... Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

I think that would be wonderful too. Something like The Findhorn Community sounds like a wonderful place to reassess and recharge your batteries

If you click on the home page it also gives you an angel card reading for the day for anyone that's interested in things like that.

need two new tyres on front of car too - but they will have to wait!
Minnie, I don't know if you've considered it but have you thought about part worn tyres? They are much cheaper than brand new ones and you can often get good brands for next to nothing. The last set I bought were £60 for the whole lot of branded tyres for a golf. I was impressed and probably will never darken the door of Nat tyres again! There are many things in life that will catch your eye, only a few will catch your heart. Pursue those.0 -
Oh dear, I think I've just made a costly mistake! I dropped my mobile phone in the bath! And I've done it once before.
It's drying out on the radiator as we speak...
I've got an old phone I've put my sim card into, DH managed to find a charger, well it only charges from a computer so I've had to put that on, but it's better than nothing!Ooo, hang on, that's good, I can charge it up at work too! :rotfl: You've got to laugh really haven't you?
Anyway, I guess I may be able to claim on insurance if my phone doesn't wake up again (DH was crouched by the phone after it was rescued out of the bath, it looked like he was doing some sort of CPR :rotfl:) or I might be able to do some sort of early upgrade, but that might cost money, so we'll see...
Just thought I'd share, thought it might give you a laugh!0 -

No idea where I got them from, probably MSE lol, just on word doc. Third are my favourite, but afrer making about 50 different rubbish recipies - these work and are scrummy. Middle one is naughty, never mind!
Ones I did for the first time today that were scrummy were these;
Low Fat Cereal Bars
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup Rice Krispies
2/3 cup chopped apricots (I used cranberries)
3 tbsp roasted sunflower seeds (I don't bother toasting them)
1/4 cup toasted coconut (I don't toast it)
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp oil
3 tbsp honey
2 tbsp peanut butter
1 tbsp vanilla extract
Melt oil, honey, peanut butter in microwave just until easy to mix up, watch carefuly, probably 20 seconds or so.
Mix in vanilla.
Mix all ingredients together and press down well into 8" square tin.
Bake at 350F/180C/gas4 for 20 minutes.
They will NOT last long0 -
Home made soup made and about to be sampled, roll dough made, split into 9 and in a cold oven for an overnight second rise. I'll cook them in the mornng and see how they turn out, (used plain flour).
Not an entirely frugal day as been stocking up but I have a freezer full of meat, a fridge full of veg so when the Mr T offers dry up I can settle down.Payment a day challenge: £236.69

I'm really keen on the idea of starting a business selling cupcakes.
On the same subject, I could do with a few tools for the decorations so might splash out there today (as I'm doing so well with the grocery budget!)
I like your cupcake business idea - my local Morrisons were selling their Christmas sprinkles for half price - i picked up some red, green & white sparkly ones that would be good to use at anytime; I think they were 47p. hth0 -
