I've heard very bad things about DPD as a courier. I'm still debating whether to order my bulk cleaning basics from SummerNaturals as see that they use this company....anyone any suggestions on the best place to get bicarb, soda crystals, borax, vinegar, etc.?

I always get mine from Soap Kitchen, as they have a huge range, and decent price.

I did make some turkey burgers last week with a recipe I downloaded, we had some tonight - a bit too bland for my liking but there's only 6 more in the freezer!!

Just remould with some spice or herbs :)

Oh my goodness I have just done a search online and the comments about them are:eek:
I was due a parcel from ap and it was picked up by this lot on 23rd but was not delivered until 29th. It was a bit strange looking and some sticky stuff was on some of the pudding boxes and there was no delivery note which I thought was odd. The parcel was also taped up with their name all over it. I was expecting visitors so just hurridly put the food away and thought no more about it till a couple of mornings later. I was laid in bed and it suddenly dawned on me that the honey I ordered was not in the box so i got up and checked my confirmation email only to discover some other items missing. nearly £8 worth of stuff.
I sent an email immediately and today at lunchtime phoned ap as I had not had a reply. the lady was a bit guarded but said dpd were being monitored by them and they would refund the amount to my ap account. Which they did within a short time.
I know i am not the only one that had this problem as some other mse'ers had similar problems on the same date.
  • Thanks for the advice guys, I will have to make an appointment with the dr I think as I don't see a health visitor due to a hefty row when Fishfinger was 3 month old. I was pretty much told I wouldnt be welcomed back and I don't have a clue where any others would be.
I don't have an issue with keeping her on a little formula milk I just wasn't sure on the age to introduce real milk. I know shes fine with small bits of cheese, yoghurts ect and she has had a few small sips of hot chocolate and milkshake where shes grabbed it without ill effect so I guess I can rule out any deadly instant reactions lol (like my friend who practically faints at the word peanuts).
I'll ask the dr. Thanks lovelys

I know it's no use now, but next time you make any burger/sausage/meatballs, Hugh says to always cook a tiny amount of the meat mix and try it to make sure it's taste good. I've always followed this rule, as it prevents me from having a large disappointing batch. :T

fishcake I had a look on a couple of sites and it seems the consensus is that there is not enough iron in cows milk for a baby under 1.
Mine all drank a little milk from a cup at seven months but it was different times and different advice then.

I just sloshed on some sweet chilli sauce & it covered a multitude of sins! By the way - I have a Korean friend who took me shopping with her to her Asian supermarket - WHAT BARGAINS!!:j Cornflour v cheap, Chilli sauce 3 times the size & half the price - black peppercorns enough to last me a year for less than the supermarket & packs of 36 veggie spring rolls for about £2.00 - well worth a look round!:)
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle
