If they dont sell it to people like me and you they have to "waste" it which means the lost revenue goes against the section which didnt sell it, which the section managers are always anxious to avoid as they get targets to reach. (Insider info LOL)
And confirmed as also being the case at Mr M ;)

Hello everyone. Was really hoping for another NSD today but remembered I had to post some parcels and ended up popping in Aldi on the way back. Spent altogether around £16. But only put things in my trolley that I needed. This thread is definately changing my spending habits :j
Back at work tomorrow so will take the soup made yesterday. Feels great to be organized :)
landregistrylass they were excellent bargains you snapped up. Well done.

  • Thanks dizzy lizzie - am feeling very sanctimonious LOL. And to reassure all those who are worrying about the speed of the thread, it DOES slow down as the months go on, but the support and camaraderie doesnt go away!

I took the child for a haircut today. He hates going....so much so that at 6 years old he has agreed that I can do his hair myself with the clippers next time, yay. I used to do it until he was about 3 and stopped sitting still for me. That will be £5 out of my cash budget to spend on other things every 8 weeks or so.

Incidentally, he went to the dentists to have his teeth counted without a murmur. Would rather go to the dentist than the hairdresser....just like his mother :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
  • Hello lovely flugally friends,

itsallinthemind - bad luck with the stolen parcel.
I'm sure it will all be good, they can not possibly have 2 people as dopey as her working there. Lady was so confused as the delivered by household stuff but not the clothes ordered prior for the children. But if push comes to shove, I can actually prove I was at the hospital when DPD delivered. Just hoping they sort soon as I want the goods, which are now mostly out of stock. Can't see I'll be out of pocket, but I was stressed at the possibility earlier, very!

I think anyone on MSE would be obliged to say that nobody can offer any form of medical advice, this probably comes under that scope I should imagine :)

However, I do believe HV's still state no cows milk as a drink till 12 months.

That said, I do know mums that started adding it to things like half milk and half water porridge from 6 months with a HV aproval, but I believe this was due to there being no family history of allergies or asthma.

Best run it by the HV really :)
