    Yup :D

My salary goes into one account, I then transfer from there to the bills account and transfer money in then out of my spending account to hit the minimum payment threshold.

I do the same with my wages, oops! I mean pension goes into my current account and then I transfer it to all the various savings accounts and use that as and when to pay my bills.
I've just realized that I was adding two months expenses on my credit card together and now last months balance has gone out my balance seems a bit lighter but only a little.
    Keep to £400 a month on C/C.

I'd like to join if it's not too late for this year's challenge.

My first challenge will be to stop wasting money on impulsive shopping. I don't have debts, but I'm keen to build up my savings as much as I can.

    Hi
I haven't been on here for absolutely ages - combination of work and DH decorating/refurbishing dining room & hall & house is looking like a demolition site.

But I have just noticed the search for jam jars. I have quite a few (mainly Tiptree jam jars) as we are quite close to Tiptree. If anyone wants some they are welcome to them, our house is certainly not the place to be jam or marmalade making in at the moment!

Oooh!, it was me :D, I'm driving into Tiptree on Sat and may call into to the Cheap shop if I have time, may I collect them? Where do you live or could I meet you somewhere being as I'm on my way to via Maldon to St Lawrence to visit DD, lovely SIL and gorgeous GSs x2. Please PM me Chipps. How wondeful is that? XXE

Welcome JayII you will love being here, there is so much to learn from others and so much help and advise.
    Keep to £400 a month on C/C.

Oh dear redglass I don't even understand the question.:o Sorry, I cant help you. I do know that AVG will try and sell before they admit they also do it for free, so keep trying. XX E

You've already helped, thank you. Actually you've answered the question anyway: a netbook is a smaller lightweight laptop - if you had one, you would know, so I can take it your AVG isn't on a netbook. :)

    Welcome, JayII!

A bit of a spendy day but not too bad. Local newspaper 90p. A new ice scraper / wiper for OH's van (I know how to keep him happy :rotfl:) £2. We had to stay in town for a night class so rather than go to a takeaway I took the picnic bag with us and popped into Tesco for some cooked chicken, potato salad and yoghurts and sat and watched the sunset as we ate our evening meal. Tesco had an offer on 2 x 900m of Fairy Liquid for £3 so they were slipped into the basket too.

Went to the local charity shops at lunch time and got 2 work shirts for OH, 2 single sheets and 2 work skirts for myself all for £6. Very pleased with these purchases.

So now I'm back on track. Thank you everyone for the motivation :D I have a shopping list all ready for tonight for the weekly shop and will try to keep to that unless there are any opportunities to spave.
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D
