I am hoping for a better challenge this month, but have had to buy in my groceries £79.05 and my son had to have clothes that were not in my budget, and they are coming in at around £75.00 cant remember exactly. So I need to Make that to make it cash neuteral, is that the saying?
My sewing machine cost £35 to be serviced, but it is like new, even the carry case looks like new! and its sewing like a dream. So perhaps I can get the sewing and Mooloo's back up and running on etsy etc in the near future.
My funding for the last year with SS has still not arrived. But it is ear marked for the furniture we needed and the shed we still need to get. So they are one off's from the move, and hope that they can be allowed in my frugaldom race! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Hello Girls and Guys,
I have decided to come out of loitering in secret now its all calmed down a little on here. Last month came in pretty much on budget and im pretty happy with it. We now have our timing spot on for our reduced shop run in the evenings lol. Any hoos today I was forced to go into Hobbycraft by Hollysmum22, but it ended well and i've picked up 3 design your own calenders for 49p each. I'm planning to let Fishfinger decorate them herself and be her Christmas present for grandparents and great grandma next year. I know I'm thinking about it all a bit early but one of my new years resalutions this year was to make at least one handmade gift per month so last month I whipped up a scarf and hat from some snazzy wool i picked up from the charity shop. Hopefully if I wave a calender at DD often enough this month I can get one finished and away. Its a theory.
Hope your all doing okay

Afternoon all. Well, off to Mr T tonight to see what I am having to eat for the rest of the week - from the markdown cabinet! I will make my menu planner after that. I know it seems a bit a**e about face, but it works for me. With meat at a quarter of the normal price, and fruit and veg at a tenth, we have some very cheap meals, and stuff we would NEVER be able to afford if it was full price. Ok, so its not always what I had in mind when I went out, but beggars cant be choosers etc. If there is nothing much tonight, I may have to go again tomorrow. Its a nuisance, but I have been so disciplined that I havent been buying anything extra on additional trips. I am sure it cant last hee hee.0

So sorry to hear of the redundancy, Hugs for you, I think you'll be needing some.
I hope there'll be a silver lining to your cloudThe mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open0 -
((((((Patentgirl))))), it's awful to get bad news like that and even worse when it comes out of the blue. I'm sure you'll find a way to get through and manage on a reduced income - I have been impressed and amazed when I see what can be achieved here on MSE. I really hope that you find another job soon so the redundancy payment turns out to be a nice bonus. xxxxTrying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

Hello Fellow Frugalisters
Well I haven't done too bad in January considering I had a couple of unexpected financial frights.
I have totted up everything spent for January and have added it to my signature. £2231.27
At the moment that would take me to £26775.24 for the year which exceeds my £20,000 target by a massive £6775.24
I now have 11 months to sort this out but writing everything down really helps and usually dissuades me from making unnecessary purchases.
Good Luck for February0
