Las Vegas guide and MSE thread 2011

Hey all,
got a major major problem (post in marriage section on the forum similar to this post)...
Whats the deal with getting married in Vegas ?
We take our passports, birth certificate, and complete marriage license form....
But as my partner is about to be divorced, will they require to see her Decree Absolute ????
2yr sep done Jan 10th, ex signed straight away and sent back....
Courts now saying they not received ex's papers, so have to do it again, and that there backlogged as got no staff !!!!!!!!!!
Is there a work-around to getting married out there ? as i got family/friends all booked to see us get married, this will be very bad!
So given this was a simple divorce 2yr sep with no contest, and i now find the courts saying they lost the paperwork (royal mail collected the paperwork from the ex, company post!).....
We run the risk of not having the Decree Absolute when we go (flying on the 3rd june).....
Are we doomed without it ? even if we get the NISI before we go, does that not help given the circumstances ?
From Clark County websiteDivorced Applicants/Widowed Applicants:
Divorced applicants are required to list the Month/Day/Year when their divorce was finalized and the city and state where the divorce was finalized. We do not need to see a copy of the divorce decree. Widowed applicants are required to list the Month/Day/Year they were widowed and the city and state. We do not need to see a copy of the death certificate.
http://www.clarkcountynv.gov/depts/clerk/services/pages/marriagelicenses.aspx
so if you partner is now officially divorced , having or not having the paperwork is irrelevant to getting married in the state of Nevada.
stop worrying and start looking forward to your big day .
Congrats from all on MSE Las Vegas thread :beer::beer:Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
Junecheers trets ! just what i like to hear!
Also though, lets hope if the courts grant the Absolute after we go, they grant it on the 6th June latest! (we leave here on the 2nd June, wedding is on the 7th!)0 -

The only one that sells out is Stripburger (which isnt that great anyway:D) so hang on till end of month if there is something you want.
There are t and c with them all, like one per table minimum spends, tips added on etc, t and c are diff for each restaurant though so read through which ones you want0 -

Some do, as you can see some sell out first few hours! The codes get bigger as month goes on, I've only every brought at the end of mOnth and have a great selection. Not sure about Ben and jerrys sure someone on here could advise0 -

I ve just realised it's NASCAR this weekend and the last time I was there that weekend Freemont Street was amazing as most of the fans seemed to go there. NASCAR isn't really my thing but if it's not expensive I d go just to experience it. Is it far from the Strip and what's the average ticket price ? ( cheap seats)
Also are the " beat the line VIP" tickets worth having or are they a con ? Previous years we have gone for the bar and nightclub exhibition and although it's on again next week half of us aren't going so will be paying/ queuing as normal for clubs which I know can be a pain etc.
Also we have got a pyramid Spa suite at Luxor which seems lovely on YouTube. Is it worth trying the 20 dollar trick or would they be unlikely to upgrade us from that ?
Thanks in advance
I saw a deal this morning for Nascar but cant find it at mo I will keep looking
There you go 50% off

AugustA couple of steak specials, One which rivals Ellis Island
Steak Special (Courtyard Caf! at Orleans)—And if you want to stay under $50, hit the coffee shop. Several good specials here include a T-bone dinner with all the sides for $12.
Steak Special (Irene’s)—The steak special above at the Orleans is a definite recommendation, but it doesn’t compare to this one. In fact, this deal at Irene’s bar climbs up the back of Ellis Island for the best steak deal in town. Irene’s was the “Local Corner” in the May 2009 LVA. At the time of that review, it was one of the best bars for food in town and it still is, except it revamped its menu a few months ago and did away with some of its good options. Now it looks like they’re going back to emphasizing food and this is a big-time offer. Forget about those small plates. Here’s a plate so big you’ll need all the space on your table to hold it. The New York strip is every bit of its advertised 16 ounces and cooked beautifully to order. It comes with salad and choice of potato (baked available after 4 pm until gone). It’s just $8.95 and available 24/7.
I dont know of Irenes tho, just about to do some research
Its on Spring Mountain
5482 Spring Mountain Rd
Might take a trip there see how it compares with Ellis Island steak special0 -

If you sign up they will email you them regularly, otherwise someone always posts them on here.
Not sure if you need the Vegas postcode to sign up, you do to purchase. its

MayThere is usually an 80% off code earlier in the month as well as at the end.
You can keep Googling "restaurant.com code" every few days for the current one.
Groupon had a $15 Ben & Jerry coupon for $5 recently, but I don't know if it will be repeated.0
