Ashington asda isnt open, it was shut christmas day and boxing day, I wonder where you can find out which ones are open, my mam lives in another part of northumberlad and was wondering if they shops were open tomorrow

Boo-Hoo, mine is closed today (thought so actually- they were practically giving away fresh food yesterday that was short dated til 3rd Jan) i need to return a chair i bought from there yesterday as it has missing pieces and i need a replacement LOL
Never mind it's not so important that the world will end as i will have to wait til tomorrow :rotfl:

On a slightly different note our Sainsbury's is open, so is our Tesco.
The Asda is a new store (a lot smaller than the other stores in our town) that only opened mid November, which i probally why it's not open this year.

our asda is shut ..booo lol its the closest to us
tesco is open which i will have to go to today ..almost a 2mile walk there lol.. was meant to get some shopping yesterday but car broke down at mums and was stuck there..so takeaway it was last night lol

my partner works in a sainsburys local and was working today at 7am. no extra pay just normal pay. Great. His shop is closed one day of the year and they have to use thier holiday entitlement for that day its a complete joke.

The small town I live in has a Tesco and 2 Tesco Expresses....it's those 2 that are open while the main one's shut. Though having tried to pop in yesterday you'd have assumed they were closing down for a week the way people were bulk buying!

I thought it was lovely that some of the shops were closed today.

Sadly our local shopping centre was open from 12 - 5pm. I felt sorry for all those workers.

But lovely that the cafes and other shops were closed.

Hopefully everyone had a nice day off. Got a bit of cabin fever with the children now, had planned to take them out on bikes. Looking forward to going out when the rain stops, hopefully tomorrow!
