  • Evening Ladies.

I hope you are all well.

I have failed the challenge. Naughty Me :o

I have just been onto Boots.com and spotted the discontinued Soap and Glory Clean Mary Cleanser for £6 a bottle so have ordered 4. I have also sent a PM to QNMW as she said on another thread that she would have stocked up if she had known it was going to be discontinued.

I hope she will find this information useful.

Nothing else really to report. No use ups today or even splutters.

I am off work tomorrow so will try and have another no spend day.

    Have a good evening everyone

Well the lush times arrived today and I threw it unopened into the bucket, can't deal with the temptation! I also was in town today and went into superdrug, boots and house of fraser (I must like torturing myself?!) and managed to resist everything, I just kept the vision of my tip of a bathroom and towel cupboard in my head..such restraint :rotfl:

berrybabe, Well done. DH has thrown it away for me. I couldn't bring myself to do it :o

Darphin Skin Mat Matifying Lotion. WIBA: Yes, although it's pricey so will be on my splurge HG. I was a Beauty Bible tester last year and got this in the pack and fell in love with it as it helped with my shiny t-zone! Would keep it to use in the summer months as I've found it isn't moisutrising enough for the winter, so shall save my pennies until then.

Mmm that sounds nice! Have you tried Body Shops Seaweed range? Their SPF moisturiser is oil free and matifying too. Make up stays put with it. Love it.

    Right some use ups:
Tara Smith conditioner - wiba no. Smelt nice, is chemical free, but has left my hair fluffy, never a good look :(
Clarins cleanser, comfort one - wiba yes. Love it. :)

    Some gave ups:
Guinot samples (2) - both opened, both looked very old. Decided not to risk it. :(
Max Factor masterpiece mascara - opened, but looked old, found in car! Again not worth the risk :(

So that's £5 into the sealed tin. Makes at least £11 - to be honest I've lost count but at least that means I'm in for a lovely treat.

And finally big hugs to Rosemary - if I were you I'd change the sheets on the bed and make it more like your room. Spray lots of perfume in there, the works. Time to get territorial and don't go to the spare room - let him go there. xxx

And really finally - hello to all the newbies and lurkers.

Nothing to report here, no ins and no uu - i'll never make money at this rate

Rosemary - I would be stripping 'his' bed and making 'your' bed with the lovely bedding.... Hope you can work it out....

Lyndsey - Counselling is a step in the right direction, good on you for giving it a whirl....

So, the Boots 75% sale, is it going to cause us to fail our challenge???

Love the new words too :rotfl:

I work from home mostly, with a bit of teaching in the community. My job involves chatting to new learners about their courses. Today I made two booked calls in my nightie and didn't get dressed until I made them so I could 'procrastipamper' (love the word) a little.
One chuck out to report and it was a bit of an eye opener. I picked up a bottle of body lotion and thought 'Oh, I've had that a year or two'. When I thought about it, I realised it was over FIFTEEN years old.

I poured it down the sink and it was like yellow opaque water, it had no named fragrance on it, but a 'Made for Littlewoods Stores Limited' label. Littlewoods disappeared from the high streets years ago ....

I wouldn''t have even risked it on the one use I have for unwanted body lotion, which is to clean leather shoes and furniture. Baby wipes are also good for this.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.
