I've also used up 2 bath things from lush, but not counting them as UUs as I've only just bought them! :rotfl: They not part of my original stash.

**Wonders if this ploy could be used to justify a mini splurge in boots sale aisle tomorrow?? :rotfl:

UU today was 1 bath bomb, only another 5 to go.
I'm feeling smug as went into Boots this afternoon and practically had the Fcuk free gift thing in my basket, knowing its a fab offer, (only spending £4 and receiving 4 items free), but managed to refrain myself.

Do I feel guilty? No. It was my final splurge for some good bargains.:A

Me too, my final splurge is going to be the Boots 75% sale then no more with an exception for any major glitch or high end magazine freebies like the benefit eye pencils last year.

My aim is to use up 300 items in 2011. I know it sounds like a lot but I have loads of samples because I used to constantly ask for them at make up counters. A lot of what I own is rather expensive stuff (bought on offer mostly) and it would be awful to end up throwing things out because they had gone off.

I got one too :T I never used too, its a conspiracy :rotfl: Anyway, do you know when the valentine things go into shops? I know I am supposed to be buying no toiletries but I do love the ex factor bath bombs :o

No UU or INs to report but thought i had to tell you about my night in the shop tonight. I've been telling girls at work about my stash and how im not allowed to buy any toiletries until i've ran out of what i have.

So tonight some of our sale stuff had been reduced and there was a lovely compact mirror down to 99p so i thought im going to get some of those for pressies for girls at my other works birthday and i was also buying a mini shower gel in the shape of a butterfly at 10p (which is going into a gift bag im making up for one of the kids who'll be coming to the wedding). Anyway i got to the checkout to be questioned by 3 members of staff and i had to explain what i was buying... who it was for and they didn't just want names they wanted to know why i was buying it, when the person would be getting it and was i really sure i wanted to buy it..... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I was eventually allowed to buy them but am beginning to wish i hadn't mentioned the challenge to them now :o im not going to be able to get away with buying anything now :(

do you mean you were itching from the H&S? It makes my body itch as it's really fragranced, so I can't use it... yet S&G is ok...are you a fellow oddity?;)

I've just had a UU - toothpaste, this time I finished off my travelling one, as my next travels are in july and I didn't want it to go off!

No in's today which is good, although I was very tempted in Tesco, especially as I now know of new brands I want to try thanks to you ladies :rotfl:

I'm wondering if I could ever be as minimalist as a New Ageing Pagan friend and former colleague. She had one shampoo, one conditioner and one shower gel in her bathroom.

She doesn't wear make up, but isn't the holier than thou sort and would NEVER judge another. She is actually one of life's good people and I am proud to know her.

Thinking about it, my mum used the same lipstick all her life and just had one pot of Atrixo or Nivea on her dressing table. She used to smuggle shampoo out of the hospital where she worked in (clean!) urine sample bottles. The shampoo didn't smell very alluring - it was probably insecticidal. It was the same colour as the concentrated Dettol the hospital also used, which led to an incident my brother wouldn't forget in a hurry.

I know what you mean mcc29 - my mum had one make up bag. one rouge! one lipstick and so on. How did we get to this point of it feeling normal or nearly ok to have so much stuff.
Well at least we're trying to get back on track. :)

No use ups today. no spends. :)
