Evening ladies...it's nice to see so many newbies and so many familiar names.
I've not posted here in a long time after a very difficult year. I'm just getting over bronchitis/chest infection, but wanted to wish everybody a Happy New Year.
I'm still participating in the challenge although my progress has stalled slightly; I've not really been buying new products, but pampering has not been my top priority of late and I therefore haven't made much of a dent in my stash. However, I shall be doing my very best to stay on the straight and narrow and will update further another day.
I'm so pleased to be among like-minded people who understand my strange addiction to toiletries!
Cheers all.Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician....0 -
I decided to pamper myself yesterday and have a soak in the bath with some of my bath oil (thought I might have gotton round to finishing it but there was more left that I thought
). When I went to get it out of the cupboard I saw some bath pearls I'd forgotton I had and it got me to wondering how do I use them. I didn't know if any of you had used something like this before and be able to point me in the right direction.

I've seen this challenge around the forum for a while now and thought it was the kind of thing I could never accomplish but my drawer of goodies is now brimming with lots of gifts and sale bargains so I reckon it's time to get serious.
My biggest issue is special offers: I always stock up whether I need to or not. So I'm going to try to avoid even browsing. I have plenty of everything to get me through January so it's time to go cold turkey and pledge not to spend.
Fingers crossed.Not buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN0 -
Just a quick post to say that I am back in for another month. I have to post my UUs on my holiday and also my INs (Christmas prezzies  well mainly). Will do so and update sig and repost my slighty less scary inventory.

Hi All
I am in again. I have pretty much managed to stick to this for a full year, and will continue.
As well as the obvious decluttering and moneysaving, the biggest thrill for me was actually on xmas day.
Normally when I get gift sets for xmas much as I love them, theres a little voice in my head saying 'Oh God not more, where will I put them, when will I use them etc', but this year I have truly appreciated every single one, as it was a real treat to get some new goodies to pamper myself with.
Good Luck Everyone.Aims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once.0 -
I'm in again as well, 1 year since I started this challenge. Stash has reduced by quite a bit, at least 2 small storage crates worth, still have approx 7/8 small crates left, but I am slowly reclaiming the bottom of my wardrobes back!!!
Quite a few use-ups in December, most of which I would not buy again.
Only ins in the last few weeks were hair dye (on offer and had mocs) colour my hair every 6-8 weeks so use quite a bit so always buy some when on offer as wouldn't be MSE to wait until I ran out and then pay full price, some showergel bought for DD's christmas stocking (not sure whether this counts as it was an in that went straight out) and my 2nd fav perfume, Kenzo flowers, that my DD and DS bought me for Christmas, saved me buying it myself.
Went in Boots the other day, just to look at the sale, came out without spending a penny, must be a first time for the boots christmas sale.0
