Well I've just been onto the boots website (I'm on my break, honest!) and the things that I did see for DH or for the present stash which appeared to be in stock won't add. They just say discontinued. Darn shame as 1 was a lynx deo and shower gel set for £1.75 and DH uses this til the cows come home!
Oh well, it's just not meant to be :)
There'll be something else around when I'm looking for gifts, of that, I'm sure!

UU: l'Occitane Verbena body lotion (travel size). WIBA? Yes, as it was rich and felt verynice onmy skin, but realistically I've got that much moisturiser that I'm not going to need to buy any for, well, nearly ever again, so no.

Hope that helps to clean my halo after yesterday! ;)

so far i've avoided Boots and their sale, [...]

can i just ask a daft question? the bath bombs, i've seen the ones on the links posted on here and they look huge, do you just use one in a bath or do you break them down?

I have also avoided the site. I might have a quick look now that everything might be out of stock. I have £35 in points that I was saving for Estee Lauder Perfectionist+ but I think I am going to buy all the future hair dye from there! Lol. I can see my dark roots now behind the yellowish blonde :rotfl:. On the bombs, I never knew you could cut them in half!
Just spent nearly an hour catching up on this thread - I was waiting for the PK Elasticizer to work though (it is great, to the person who wanted advice on it - makes your hair super-healthy looking and lasts forever - I've used mine quite a few times and there's still an entirely full tub...weird!).

I need to remember that for when I finish all my current serums/masks/conditioners/gloss. I have loads of them!

UU - Dove Rich Nourising Body lotion. WIBA? If it is on offer, yes. I like the smell, a bit liquid but it kept my skin soft and moist until night (ok, I might have put extra in order to finish it!)

UU - E45 Lotion Pump dispenser. WIBA? I don't think so. It is too runny for my liking, it does feel as if instead of moisturising inside it puts a layer of cream on top that makes it slippery and apparently soft.. but at the end of the day my skin felt tired and not moist as the previous day with the Dove one.

IN - Nivea Visage Tinted Moisturizer Day Cream 50ml. It was on offer at MrM for £3.99 half priced, I had no moisturizer whatsoever so I thought it was a good buy. I tried it yesterday and I needed to put only a tiny amount, it has quite a lot of tint so it is almost make up! Well, at least it felt like that for me, since I might put foundation only twice a year (obsession with letting the skin breathe). I like how it looks, as when I put foundation I am so rubbish at it that I can see my fingertips in the nose and I make lines with the fingers, I tried a brush but I am still a noob with foundation and powders, I cannot make it look right :( So this cream gives me that effect but much easier to apply. I put too much and had to change clothes within 4 minutes because I applied in the white shirt instead of my neck lol. At the end I still had too much on my fingers, I need to learn how to use it but so far so good, specially for the price.

Btw, how can you use Palmer's Body Oil? It smells too strong for me, I have a full bottle and I do not know if I can use it in any other way than just applying on my skin after the shower. I heard it is a good product, it is just the smell is too strong for my liking.

EDIT: Went to Boots online and survived... because what I wanted said "discontinued" or sold out! Lol I want the S&G with the alarm clock because of the alarm clock, since I need to buy one and at £4 it was a good price for it. But when I tried to add it, said discontinued. The other thing I added was the Toni & Guy blonde set, I have both the gloss and the Platinum Shampoo and I like them a lot, a set for £4 is a bargain, but not available either! Oh well! :D Fate decided I should not fail! Let's see if it is as good when I go to Boots to use the voucher! Lol

this thread is taking over my life :rotfl:there is soooooo much to read.
made some new year resolutions today(OK I know I am a bit late:rotfl:)
1/ I bought a new sewing machine last year as old one was a 16th birthday present and too heavy to carry up an down stairs am ashamed to say have only used once so far despite having fabric in cupboards to make curtains so resolve to use more.

2/NOT NOT NOT to buy ANY toiletries unless really need them!I looked at my stash whilst searching for an item and was horrified just how much I have .....there is enough body lotion to coat a herd of elephants for starters:eek:
3/ stop spending so much time reading fun threads and get on with things that need doing:rotfl:

re occitane you can get the goody bag online at Debs for buying 2/8 items of shea butter stuff(sadly not the ones I want)

Lush,am working my way through the Lush boxes and so far not that impressed with the stuff.started turkish delight body polish today did not do what it says on the pack i.e there are no grains in it so how can it polish?and did not leave skin soft and scented(in fact hardly any scent in it)
uu the aqua mirablis body butter...this is to use in the shower and was quite grainy and did not last long:(
sugar plum fairy scrub again did not deliver (UU)
started lip dip lip scrub, nice taste but a toothbrush followed by vasaline would do a better job!

I've got another UU to report Champney's Facial Wipes (25 wipes to a pack) - WIBA? Probably - not for a while yet if you saw the size of my stash you'd know why  (still that's 6 UU to date) - I've been trying to use all of my smaller items first (so that I get a sense of achievement) I'm not putting a pound in the pot for each UU as I'm already doing the sealed pot challenge. But I know what I've got in my stash thanks to this thread !!! and I promise to try not to buy anything until I've used up what's in my stash! Thanks everyone for your support - sorry to ramble!

I did this when I did the 'no buying any toiletries' for 100 days thing a couple of years ago on here. Dug out all the samples and minis and used them first, they were gone whilst I was keen to use up and not buy anymore products and then I started on the bigger stuff.

Thanks for the tip about the girligo mini not having a barcode - was going to check mine but you've saved me the trouble have decided there are 4 products in the tote bag that I've tried before or know I won't use (2 already being used, 4 will be used when the current one of that product runs out!) 2 will be taken back to boots to see if I can exchange, thanks EssexHebredian for the tip, 2 will be going on ebay with a S&G wash bag type thing and then hopefully I'll be back on track with a stash of things I'll all use.

Been trying to get back into cleansing, moisturising and make up routine this week as I often fail with this - so starting to get close to some UU!

Ooh - I've just checked the website (not hlding out much hope as the nearest we've had one before was about 70 miles away or something silly!) and we're getting one just over 20 miles away as well, opening at the end of the month, I can see Mum and I will have to go for a browse in due course! :T

It's NEVER too late! welcome in!

OI! You rabble on the Naughty Step - keep it down a bit, you're not meant to be having a party you know! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::D

Ok So now I'm in. What do I need to do? Do I have to count all my toiletries so I can score them off? If so do we have categories? And do "joint" toiletries count? Most of my toiletries are scented so only I use them anyway. I'm not supposed to mention that sometimes my husband "borrows" my moisturiser! :rotfl:

Just checked mine and not sure if it's the lights but it looks a creamy yellow colour. It does seem to smell ok but squeezed a little bit out and it does seem a bit watery so not sure if maybe it's separated. Not sure whether to use it or not.
Chuck, chuck, chuck! If it's separated it's a no go for anywhere sensitive - could use it up on your feet?

    Used up/gave up:
Body Shop SPF moisturiser (think Aloe Vera) - wiba no (probably). I prefer the seaweed one for smell but this aloe vera one has a good texture. Shame that I didnt notice it only be open for 6 months before it starts going off....cos it did....it separated and was watery. Yuck. But I used in on my elephant skin calves - they can take molten steel!:rotfl:

    Chucked:
Boujois mini lip gloss - wiba no. It was a phone charm one, blue methol supposedly, not impressed. Cannot remember how long open so chucked.

Right another £2 into the tin.:A

I did have another thought strike me. If I used Tesco Clubcard vouchers and Advantage points for deodorants, toothpaste and hair conditioner I could go the rest of the year without parting with cash for A SINGLE THING.

    Oooh! :):)
    Now that's a challenge. :j

PS: I hated S&G's Girlingo unfortunatley opened it before reading about swopsies - although I wouldn't have thought that Boots would honour that for too long but you never know. Girlingo (moisturising spray) is sticky and has an overpowering candy smell. It's now sitting in the charity bag. So far I'm disappointed with the S&G stuff :o but I have a toteful of stuff to go.
