Evening
Just looked through the Avon book and didn't even want anything. Before I joined this thread I would have totally got the new matte nail varnish just cos its new and a bit different, but someone said a few days ago that it wasn't great which has helped my will power no end!
Hope I have the same will power at the weekend when I have to go to Lush to get tea tree water ... with a 10% off voucher from my xmas pressie!!No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018
35 UU / 13 unnecessary ins0 -
wow loads of UU'ing going on here - well done ladies!
One UU here... a T-gel shampoo. WIBA - no, it stinks! It smells like smoke
On another point, I have 8 bottles of lemony shower gel, which is now being used as everything from hand soap to bath gel, general cleaner and of course shower gel. Once the non-s&G shampoo runs out, the OH will be using it as shampoo... otherwise it will end up being the only thing left in my stash!
talking of the stash, it's made me £136 on ebay and oddly, a No7 foundation, whcih I opened, tried and decided was all wrong is making £16- I only paid £13 so I am very worried the buyer thinks it's new! but he ho, it's encouraged me to put some other used foundations on, such as clinique... which makes me look orange. If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0 -
I have been to Asda and Tesco tonight and resisted!!!! I feel proud of myself after my lack of control in Lush today.
On the other hand i ended up buying 5 books today
I am not doing well with these challenges at all, someone needs to take my bank card off me and lock it away! But i did go round to my friends house and get my eyebrows waxed, shes doing beauty therapy at college....before anyone wonders lol. I like the feeling when you get them waxed and they are all smooth
Oh i also got my hair cut last night - my mums a hairdresser...so that didn't cost anything either!0 -

LOL - oooh thank you! I'll have to give it a tryXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:wave:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX0 -
Finished an Avon body lotion, naturals. I think it was tangerine and aloe. Would totally NOT buy again! It doesn't actually do anything, it just sits there on your skin feeling tacky! EUGH! Even the OH commented on it!
I have a honey and lemon shower gel and body lotion from the same range to use up eventually. I'm not moving onto the Avon shimmering body lotion that I got last year. I hope it's not too shimmery for everyday use- I don't want to be sparkling like a glitter ball in my exams0 -
Still no UU to report but i do have one IN: Boots Magnolia Bath Gel 75ml (part of a set) given to me for my birthday today
Am so glad i've told so many people about this challenge that everyone went out their way to make sure they didn't buy me toiletries

And - I knew there was something I had to tell you - we are getting a home bargains shop down here !!!!
OOH.... well..... I must admit you never know what you are going to find in HB, but get in fast when they do open as I reckon they will have some decent things as opening offers, er, not that you'll be looking at toiletries of course, cough, cough.
They do brand name drugs very, very cheaply. Diocalm for a quid, ok so do the pound shops, but Boots doesn't.
I have two super pairs of leather gloves that cost £3.99, that I wear all the time in the winter that came from there. All my silicone kitchenware is HB.
There's always really random foodstuffs -it''s a real education trying some of them out.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
DD and I are away on hols on Thursday for 5 nights.
Feeling a touch guilty..........
Only taking hand baggage (Ryanair). Remember the unloved Head & Shoulders shamppo and conditioner DD had discarded and I had to use up? Is it bad of me to have decanted it into 100ml bottles to (unbeknown to DD) take with us in the hand baggage for hair washing?
Therefore, chucked out, 2 empty Head and Shoulders bottles :j:j:j:j:jYIPPEE! :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T0 -
