No Buying Toiletries in Jan 2011 !!!!

I did this challenge last year and its great. I only bought 2 purchases that I shouldn't have. I do shop much less with QVC, I still watch the beauty shows but am less tempted than I used to be.

I'd like to join please. I have no idea how much I already have of everything but I do think I need shampoo and conditioner. I promise to only buy 1 bottle of each!:o

I didn't receive any smellies for christmas (apart from perfume) but it's my birthday this month so hopefully I'll get some then.:rotfl:

I got a couple of free full sized sets from their website sign up a couple of years ago and to be honest I'm really glad I gave one away because I found it to be odd smelling stuff. The lip balm is fab, works really well, the shower gel reminded me of washing up liquid, the face wash left an odd film on my face but smelt nice and the honey body butter left me smelling a bit odd through the day, I'd get whiffs of it and think oh what's that odd smell and it was me smelling of burts bees I recently threw it away along with the face wash and ended up using the showergel as a bubble bath. :rotfl:I've not used a huge amount of their range, just tried those 4 things but I'd be apprehensive about trying it again, shame because it was raved about and I quite like the idea of it all being natural etc

I wuld buy another chap stick thing though when this one runs out

I'm so glad this is back. I actually found this challenge last year really good as it showed me how much money can be saved. It also showed me what toiletries I actually like, and what ones I don't... This xmas I got presents of just the stuff I liked (mostly S&G, No7, Fcuk etc), so no waste this year, and although I have spent a bit in the boots sale, its all S&G/Tony & Guy, so stocked up for a fair few months with scrubs, shampoos etc.
It's just trying not to "indulge" in QVCs TSV, or boots glitches, but if last year is anything to go by, this thread is great for keeping us going and motivated.
Plus the fessing up and seeing peoples piccies is great fun....Who will be the first? xx

Welcome newbies! I can't believe that we are only on day 1 and we've already reached 5 pages - nice work ladies! :-D

One UU to report here - Tesco sensitive face wipes - WIBA? - yes, these weren't the very cheap ones but were only about 69p I think, and I found them perfectly good. Got a pack of freebie Nivea ones to use next though so no purchases required yet.

My aim for January is to buy nothing apart from foundation - and only then if the Cashmere Touch one from Avon is back available again. If I buy it this campaign or next it will only cost me £4 so is a sensible purchase.

I would like to join too! I have so many toiletries and they are stashed in several different places - because of this I tend to forget what I have and go and buy more!!

I have a weakness for poundland (as mentioned by someone else) - if I can get something here which I know is £2.99 in Boots etc then i just have to have it!

I have just joined the sealed pot challenge so will put money in there when i am tempted to buy toiletries.

I may need to replace my deodorant as I can only use one sort so tend to stock up when it is on offer.

I think I still have lots of bubble bath in a box under the bed and we had the bath removed and a wet room done 5 years ago:eek: I feel a clearout coming on!

Have read through your posts so fay and can see what a friendly bunch everyone is so I would like to share with you all too!:)

Scottish Beauty, years ago.

Salon Services/Sallys or any other pro hair and beauty shop will have them, or I should imagine you'd get them in loads of places if you google 'beauty trolley' Ta
