and thanks0 -
good luck with op tomorrow Vix.
had a busy 2 days at work, looking forward to rest on Thursday!
Think meeting went well yesterday, waiting for report...
Friend who lost her baby, saw the drs today at the hospital and they have admitted they made the wrong decisions... baby would have survived otherwise...
So excuse me, while I have a wander around the forums. Sorry don't mean to put downer on the evening.0 -
Is she going to sue? My lecturer at college had a baby (or his wife did) and through the hospitals error in not giving her a c- section quick enough so their little girl ended up oxygen starved and now she has lots of medical problems, will never lead a normal life and i think they said she will only live to her teens or something. But he is an ex lawyer, and his family are all in the medical profession.
Obviously they're two very different cases!0 -
Great challenges everybody, especially 3Dogs and Mr 3Dogs.
My list is probably going to be VERY long. I have a lot to achieve in 2011.
1. Lose weight, I would like to lost at least 2 stone, but preferably 4 stone, but will see how I go.
 put on weight! Well done Aesop!
2. To start taking iron tablets every day, so my hair stops falling out.
 yeh right Aesop!
3. To eat much more healthy, no more junk food, more fruit and veg, that will help with weight loss.
:mad:yeh right Aesop
4. Try to use Wii Fit at least 3 times a week, if not more, that will help with weight loss, and will not make it another expensive present wasted.
yeh right Aesop
5. Try and do surveys every day, potentially there is a lot of money to be made, vouchers or cash, and these can all be used towards Grocery bills/household bills or even go towards Christmas presents/savings, etc.
hmmm 1000 emails later... the only good thing I have done is signed upto shop and scan and am very good at scanning all shopping everyday! as for surveys...1000 emails to be deleted!
6. Try to save £2 a week on Sainsbury's Savings Card, Iceland Savings card. I would like at a minimum to have £52 saved on each at the end of the year, more would be fab, this could then be used for Christmas food, or if we are not here, ie up north with family, used for after Christmas
not doing as well, but have started saving. see Sig.
7. Sell anything I no longer have a use for, ie old clothes, shoes, handbags, etc. unless it is stuff I have got through glitches that can be used for Xmas/Birthday pressies, etc.
ok, slowly doing this, have sold a bit of stuff.
8. Enter more competitions and win so that I don't have to buy Xmas/Birthday pressies.
have won something! waiting to see what it is.
9. Check grabbit and freebies site a bit more often than once in a blue moon, ie daily/weekly so can take advantage of glitches to save on food bills/clothing, pressies, etc.
hmm lot of blue moons out there.
10. To see more of my friends and my DS to see his friends. They have been a bit neglected this past year.
:j yay, being seeing some of my friends at least 1 a week. Getting there.
11. To try and read a bit more, at least 1 book a month.
Have managed to read 1 book, have 3 on the go at the mo. Need a kindle.
12. To listen to more music and watch TV less.
yeh well....
13. To be more organised with my finances, keep a beady eye on my accounts and be accountable for every penny.
hmph!
14. To keep my house decluttered and nice to walk into. To tidy and hoover, and dust as necessary.
decluttered... but slowly getting messy again...
15. To keep my paperwork upto date, and organised, so I KNOW exactly where everything is!
hmph!
16. To get new wardrobes for all of us, so we have more storage room, and somewhere to actually hang our clothes.
working on this....
17. To get all our loose photos into albums, to print all our photos using discount codes, freebies, etc.
got a free photobook that need to do tonight.
18. To get DH a whole new wardrobe of clothes, whether through glitches, bargain buys or winning.
still working on this
19. To buy/win/obtain a chest freezer, so that I can buy and store all those whoopsies and can make HM food to freeze, therefore saving even more money
........
20. To write a blog
21. To help fundraise for a special friend - for her autistic son and to raise awareness of autism.
will do this later this year.
22. To try and obtain funding to do a course with the open university.
need to find certificates first!!!!!!!!!
Right, think that is it for now, although there are plenty more.
hmmm.. not good start to the year.0 -
STS this week.
Vix~Hope all goes well tomorrow.

Well I didn't go to bed after all - cooked some chicken for Mr 3Dogs to take with him tomorrow when he is out all day, then chopped up a new bowl full of melon - then I noticed the time was only 9.45 pm!! I had thought it was much later, about 11.45 for some reason .................... so I had a browse around the grabbit/foodbargains/freebies threads and made some notes for shops tomorrow
I've got to go out as I've reserved 3 x new retractable dog leads at Argo$ (£12.99 reduced to £3.99 each :j) to get tomorrow as Billy's lead broke today - these retractable leads are wonderful but they do have the habit of sticking and not retracting   especially with an excitable dog like Billy who heads in every direction at once usuallyand, as Bonnie's lead is a little weak one as she doesn't need her lead as much, and Bess's is a L!dl one which, for once, wasn't such a good buy - we got 2 about 18 months ago and 1 went haywire after about 6 months .............. well, you get the picture? Thought that, at this price, I would get 3 new ones and put the L!dl one away as a spare, and use the little weak one for friend's dog Misty when Mr 3Dogs takes her out, as she is only a tiny Chorkie (Chihuahua father, Miniature Yorkie mother) Did you all follow that? Good!!
