Good morning everyone!
My body clock is all over the place at the moment, so I'm still up and can't get to sleep!
Anyway, as I'm here, yesterday was NSD number 4 for me - yay! So, I'm back on track after a food shop on Tuesday.
Happy birthday Emma and kdenty!
Glad you're sounding more upbeat TH after your boss took you out for dinner; and well done SF for helping out Spoon! :starmod:

Mine did that for a while a few months back. it fixed itself after a few weeks but I did notice a wee funny button next to the on/off switch that turns it on or off...................prob not much help
Yes there is a button that turns the mouse pad on and off, that could be glued up. It could unglue in a few days or it may not. Mind you I always use a mouse on my laptop anyhow. Many thanks to SlowlyFading for helping our our dear Spoon - so you now have the title Mistress SF, Apprentice Guardian of the NSD Thread :T :T :T
 love it 3Dogs mind you I'm not sure i could type that every time and MSFAGOTNSDT has quite the same cachet.
Not going to be a nsd today as it's my grandson's 4th birthday.... Crikey how did that happen. So I'm going to do my shopping today and buy him his pressie at the same time. That way I can have a nsd tomorrow.
Being back at work is hard, why do I feel so darn tired all the time, getting old I think but somehow or the other I need to fit a run in today. Going to sign up for a 5k again this year and try not to break my kneecap again!!
Have a good one all0 -

Got my official letter today (and my first box of chocolates from a customer - Thorntons no less!!!) which is making it feel very real now.
Also have just had a VERY posh dinner on my boss who had flown over to deliver the official notices. She asked where we should go that was reasonably nice and I was going to suggest the pub we usually go to but thought stuff it and suggested the very pricey hotel restaurant down the road, then pleaded ignorance of the prices
I'm so full of food, a full three courses no less and very tasty it was too. I don't even feel a little bit bad, it'll be the last time for a while that I get such nice food.
Am feeling very sad but reasonably positive today, think tomorrow will be tough as the e-mail has been sent out to our regular customers to let them know we are closing so I'm expecting us to be inundated with well meaning sympathetic customers asking over and over "what will you do, are you ok?" etc etc.
On the plus side and back on topic that was nsd 3 for me today.
Thanks again guys, you've been so lovely, it genuinely means a lot to me.
Hey Hazel, glad you feel a bit more positive - maybe some of the sympathetic customers might know of a job for you? I'm keeping everything crossed for you that you get something:)
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -

Jolaaled - When I started this challenge in Aug, I didn't necessarily find that I immediatly saved money - but it did make me think more about what I was spending on. Once I was doing that I found that actually some things I thought I needed, I could do without after I'd waited a day or so to couple them together with other items on a spendy day. And as BigMumma says....if you can't carry it, you can't buy it :rotfl:i have deff found that it takes longer than you'd think to change spending habits but stick with the challenge and it will pay off.
I have found that, if I delay spending for a day or so, then sometimes I realise that I don't actually need the item after all!..
I do love the feeling of completing a NSD (it's such a challenge for me!), but then I feel my 'spending' days are more like a treat or reward!0 -
Good morning gang!
Well, just checked my bank account to find I'm £17 OD. A catalogue co, ($imply be) have taken their DD payment a week early!!! It was not due till 14th:mad: OH's pay goes in tomorrow, so I will have to phone the bank and do a bit of money juggling:mad:
I get so cross if that happens as I am meticulous about payment dates !
This is the third month running that $imply be have done this. I thought by paying by DD it would make life easier, but not if they take the payments on random dates! I'll be taking back control and paying by card in future!
.................And breathe..............rant over!:(
Today may be another NSD, I have the insurance inspector coming today to view the damaged sofa. Remember the dog chewing incident before Christmas? Hopefully, we will have a settlement soon:) I also have to take a couple of things back and post out my Amazon sale, so a busyish day ahead!
Have a lovely day everyone:)
