Good evening everyone, big spendy day today because I got paid and we now have food in the house. For how long, who knows, with a big bloke, a little bloke (who is now taller than I am) and a small furry bloke, all with huge appetites in the household.....! The car will need a small job doing next week, and we have a trip coming up soon to visit family, which means gallooons and galloooons of pure gold motion lotion at whatever horrendous price they are charging for it now......I am going to have to tighten them there purse strings this next month till the blighters squeak. Hope to squeeze in another couple of NSDs by Monday, and will need to think soon about my February target.

Well done all of you who have managed to keep the coffers closed, foiling the wily schemes of the retailers to part us from our hard-earned dosh!

Those of you recently bereaved - sorry. Awful at any time but even more so at this dark time of year.
And well done those of you who have got new jobs, a new start is just what's needed.

Found a dead cat in the front garden yesterday, similar in colouring to mine, but it was a neighbour's cat. 15 years old, and had been ill for some time. Very sad, but at least I was able to return him to his family - they had been searching for him for 2 days. Needless to say, resident mog got an extra couple of strokes.

Spoon and SF, hope you are both feeling a bit better.

  • NSD #10 today - I took extra goodies with me to work and when I started to pine for something sweet, I had a peppermint tea insead! Maybe I should invest in a big box of teabags once a month or so.
