  • Hey guys - sorry that I've been missing for a couple of weeks - the last few days at work were hectic and I've been abit all over the show since. I have taken the other job that I was offered but they made a mistake with the pay amount so it's going to be quite a hefty pay reduction for six months.

I have said to the owner of the shop that if after 6 months she doesn't give me the pay increase as promised I will have no option but to look for another position elsewhere. So at least I have been upfront and I wont feel like I'm being flaky if I do have to move to another job.

Have spent most of this week trying to work out how to tighten our belts further when we are already past the last notch and using the hole poked through with a knitting needle!!!! I think we should be ok for about 8/9 months so time to see if I get the pay rise and if not look for (and hopefully get) a different job (or second job if needs be),

Anyhoo I have been very bad at keeping track of NSDs but I can definitely declare 12 NSDs and possible a couple more but as they are unconfirmable I'm going with 12 so far. Still time to get another 3 in and make target.

    All the best
    Hazel

I did that a couple of months ago, on the proviso the Whoopsies were something I needed rather than fancied on the spur of the moment / just because they were reduced. Ended up spending very little of it, with what I did spend being spent on days that were spends for other stuff anyway, so haven't bothered since.

Hmmmmm well I used to shop on a Tuesday night anyway so maybe I should just woopsie spot on a Tuesday? Oh I'm so indecisive :rotfl:Will ponder over it during the day and post back later with my decision..........................i think

  • Morning all :)

Just a quick update - Now on NSD 17, and really hoping that we can last until Sunday and do our shopping then! OH forgot his lunch today, so will have to spend a couple of ££s in town - I'm not counting that as a spend though because with driving time, he does an 11 hour day and has to eat something! Besides, it's already cost me the 'no shop lunches' in January Challenge :(

Made it into double figures! NSD 10 for me yesterday.

So setting a target of 15 was a bit optimistic but I have spent no money on 1 in 3 days this month, when considering at the end of last year I'd got into the habit of buying lunch and having vending machine trips each day I'm very pleased with - thanks everyone.

    I hope you're all having a salubrious day :D

I've just managed to make another OP on the darned mortgage, BUT as I'm at work I'd better get on and do some instead of [STRIKE]being on MSE [/STRIKE]procrastinating all day....

Reporting another NSD yesterday taking my total to 13 :DSHould be another one today too - but dont want to tempt fate :p Tomorrow definatley spendy as need diesel and the boys need bedding so may as well do all that together....

Have to say that I am really noticing the difference in the bank account by planning the spending so this definatley works!!

Catch up later have a lipsmacking day :D
