I can sleep under pretty much anything so it wouldn't really bother me what it is made of. I rarely find all cotton ones that are reasonable and attractive so often compromise by getting ones that are half and half. I never wake up hot and sweaty, so for me it isn't an issue. I actually bought one as a spare to take on holiday rather than paying out for linen hire.
I haven't bothered checking, as I don't really care, but often these duvets are cotton on the bottom that you sleep against and polyester on the top where the pretty part is. If that is the case with this then for the many people it wouldn't make any difference anyway as most cheaper duvets aren't made solely of natural fibres.
I'm not going to get drawn into any further discussion on this- but if you don't like something, don't buy it. I often see deals on here that I wouldn't touch with a barge pole but I simply move on rather than spouting my opinions. Some people genuinely want bargains- and many people would see a £3/4 bed set as cheap, especially for occasional use.
I've been here long enough to know not to take things personally but I hate the way some people are on here and how it can put off newbies from partaking and posting on the boards.0 -

That's a really good idea. And worth it to know that it's new and fresh and hasn't already been washed a zillion times!
I'm sure lots of people will be interested in these duvet sets as surely most people don't mind 50/50 and they're definitely a cheap price0 -
Can't understand the fuss about poly/cotton myself. is a common mix that makes things light and easy care ( e.g shirts etc) Most of my bedlinen is polycotton and I don't have any problems, just a bit less effort ironing
some people just like to spout forth imho.
OP thanks for this, looks great.0 -

I actually got the blue and white duvet from very for £4 double and the quality is great!. The blue silk/poly bit is only on the top about 30cm width and the rest white! Not that it will stay that way with two cats! lol so dont be put off my the comments its well worth the money!!0

Nothing wrong with mix covers imo. I can't afford luxury sheets unless they are bargain prices in TK Maxx.0
